Wake up, hear scratching on the roof. Couple seconds later, something falls hard off the roof, literally right outside master window. Grab 45 of the nightstand, open shutters, and peer out… long pause… get attacked. Creature jumped out of the dark straight at the window, hit it hard. Oh, it wants the smoke. Become erect ( *it’s time* meme). Run outside for boss battle barefoot in boxers. Can’t tell what it is; fingers crossed it’s the black panther from the rumors on Facebook. Nope, just the biggest fox I’ve ever seen. It’s on the roof, have shot, too much gun with a city backdrop. It didn’t really want the smoke— sad face.

Russian gov't in TOTAL information control mode.
Baikalsk municipal admin warned residents NOT to travel to the area where the lab accident occurred, then deleted the info ~2 hrs later. Local REN TV deleted 5 posts about the accident. Local journalists who reported on the accident yesterday appear not to have not written any updates since.
Pneumonic plague is 100% fatal if not treated with antibiotics within the first 24 hours of symptoms. The biggest question being suppressed: have there been any more deaths from plague?
The US State Dept lists Russia as having an illegal bioweapons program, one of 2 nations (N. Korea is other). Genetic modifications / bioweapons engineering more likely done at Obolensk and Vector (in a BSL-4 lab), but this is impossible to know for certain.

"FSB units accompanying ambulances transporting people who had been in contact with [lab tech] Shipilova for medical examination," as per local news. This is significant. FSB is Russia's domestic security / counterintelligence service, tasked w/implementing the national security of Russia." (Its predecessor was the KGB). This suggests quarantine was not voluntary.
It also means Russian authorities are treating the lab accident and plague outbreak as a national security issue, involving a lot more than routine public health.

BIG | 🇬🇧☢️🇪🇺‼️‼️ The United Kingdom is preparing to offer an explicit nuclear security guarantee to nine Northern European allies, potentially extending Britain’s nuclear deterrent across the entire Joint Expeditionary Force region, according to Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.
The proposed arrangement would cover Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, alongside the United Kingdom. An agreement is expected to be signed in November and would strengthen the role of Britain’s nuclear arsenal in protecting JEF members.
If finalized as described, the agreement would add another layer of nuclear deterrence for Northern Europe alongside existing NATO arrangements. The move would be especially significant for the Nordic and Baltic states, placing Britain’s nuclear capabilities more explicitly within the security framework of the JEF.
