We have known about #WPW and accessory pathways as a common cause of SVT for >100 years and have effective procedures to address them, but we still have NO IDEA why some patients are born with these extra slivers of muscle that electrically connect atria to ventricles. Medicinal use of lithium in pregnant women leads to heightened risk of a particular form of congenital heart disease associated with these pathways. Might variable levels of lithium in drinking water affect the chance a growing fetus will be born with such a pathway? @jclinicalinvest @UCSF @UCSFHospitals @stopafib @DrDave01 @KnowYourPulse JCI - Elevated lithium levels in drinking water are associated with higher prevalence of Wolff-Parkinson-White diagnoses jci.org/articles/view/205020

Beautiful presentation by super #EPFellow Phil Olsen on LV summit NSVT at morning #CedarSinaiEP conference. 🔥🔥💪👏 Seen only once during EPS. What should we do when non-inducible thereafter?? ❓ Best Pace-map in AIV/GCV junction Poll below 👇👇@CedarsSinaiMed

(1/3) A simple but fun one I love Holter tracings that turn cardiology into detective work. 70 year old man Holter indication: Dizziness and palpitations.

Preoperative ECG of an asymptomatic 30-year-old man. Would you recommend any further workup before proceeding with surgery?

How do you assess left atrial voltage and optimise catheter positioning during pulsed field ablation (PFA)? In this RIO Global 2026 live case, Julian Chun and Andrea Urbani (CCB Markus Krankenhaus, Frankfurt, Germany) demonstrate their approach to left atrial assessment and pulmonary vein ablation using the FARAVIEW and FARAWAVE technologies. Julian Chun reviews the left atrial voltage map, highlighting the preserved posterior wall voltage despite persistent atrial fibrillation (AF). The team then demonstrates catheter positioning in the inferior pulmonary vein, adjusting the configuration based on angiographic dimensions to optimise tissue contact. Chair Devi Nair is joined by panellists Ignacio García Bolao, Sebastian Feickert and Patrick Lugenbiel for the discussion. #RIOCongress #RIOGlobal #EPeeps #AtrialFibrillation #PulsedFieldAblation #Electrophysiology #CardiacMapping

If these 🟢 are retrograde P waves, we have an NCT with intermittent VA block. Therefore, excluding AVRT and AT, a S/F AVNRTwith UCP block is possible. When it initiates, it seems to me there is a 🔵PAC with a long PR (SP) followed by a 🔴 pseudo R' (FP).
65-year-old patient presents with a 10-day history of dyspnea. EF 30%. On no medical therapy. Underwent a coronary angiography 10 years ago (reason unknown), which was reported as normal by the patient. What do you think?

If this EGM shows what I think it does, it's the first time I've seen it. I'd love to hear your opinion, please 🙏 @kaspar_86 @swahz7788 @chris_monkhouse

🫀#AblateVT in a 62M with large apical aneurysm and ischemic VTs: #Epeeps, look at the gorgeous diastolic signals and beauties of substrate mapping using the S3 Protocol by @ivroca to identify areas of isochronal crowding. 🔥Three VTs terminated and non-inducibility at the end!

Pre- and post-atropine ECGs. What's the rhythm here? Concealed fascicular ectopy or AV block? If AV block, at what level and what degree? Thoughts?

Beautiful atrial flutter in an alternating pattern of bigeminy and trigeminy, due to alternating 6:2 and 8:3. This is due to multilevel block: 2:1 superior, Mobitz I 3:2 alternating with 4:3 inferior. Both at the level of the AV node. #ECG #Cardiology

CSP/ OmniaSecure lead in a patient with RV/LV thrombus +AV block. Is there a better way in this situation to pace and defibrillate without resorting to multiple devices ?
