Certification of midterm election results are governed BY STATE LAWS - not federal laws. Election contestments nor legal litigation DO NOT automatically pause certification.
State courts have repeatedly held that certification is a MANDATORY, ministerial duty that MUST PROCEED on the statutory timeline, even when lawsuits, challenges, or claims of irregularities are pending.
Georgia:
Adams v. Fulton County (Fulton County Superior Court, Judge Robert McBurney, October 14, 2024):
“No election superintendent (or member of a board of elections and registration) may refuse to certify or abstain from certifying election results under any circumstance.”
Concerns about fraud or error “are to be noted and shared with the appropriate authorities but they are not a basis for a superintendent to decline to certify.”
“There are no exceptions.”
Arizona:
Cochise County (State court, 2022 midterms):
The court ordered the board of supervisors to certify after it refused, holding that the duty was non-discretionary under state law. Officials ultimately certified.
Virginia:
Waynesboro (Circuit Court, November 4, 2024):
The court granted mandamus and ordered board members to certify, stating that “the personal beliefs of members of a local board of elections cannot derail the electoral process.”
Nevada:
County boards that initially refused or delayed (including Washoe County in 2024) faced lawsuits or pressure from the Secretary of State.
Officials ultimately certified. The Nevada Supreme Court has indicated it has authority to intervene on an expedited basis if refusals recur.
Alaska (2026 midterm Senate race):
A federal district court (Judge Sharon Gleason) dismissed a Department of Justice lawsuit that sought to block certification, finding no basis to halt the process on the grounds alleged. Alaska law itself provides no automatic stay of certification merely bcos an investigation or challenge exists.
IN SHORT:
You can attempt to delay election results, and certification of those results, with your frivolous lawsuits, intimidations, and threats all you want, but State laws DEMAND certification on THEIR timeline according to THEIR laws.

🚨BREAKING: The Republican Women’s Caucus Fund has been unmasked as the force behind the fake Texas Transgender Student Union (TTSU). This Wyoming LLC, formed in September, flooded as many as 3 million Texas mailboxes and phones with texts and brochures just as early voting began for the midterms.
Posing as a trans advocacy outfit, the materials—addressed to the children of registered voters—coached minors on seeking gender-affirming care even against parents’ wishes, pursuing emancipation, going out-of-state for hormones or surgery, and finding a “found family.” They copied branding from the real Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) and used a near-identical address.
Legal filings named the Republican Women’s Caucus and “John Braun”—the name of a Washington state senator whose campaign treasurer, Paul Kilgore, also handles finances for the RWC Fund and PACs supporting Ken Paxton’s Senate bid against Democrat James Talarico. TTSU’s lawyer is former Paxton assistant AG Chris Hilton.
TENT sued, claiming harassment, threats, and operational harm. Judge Jan Soifer ordered disclosure, rejecting free-speech secrecy claims.
So, a Republican-linked group, with financial ties to Paxton-supporting PACs, mass-produced and distributed materials that impersonated a transgender student resource guide. In other words, the people who routinely accuse the transgender community of “indoctrinating” or targeting children, themselves produced and mailed the very content designed to look like that targeting—so parents would see it and react.
Every Republican accusation is a confession.
