I'm relieved it's not just me! Thought I was going crazy for a moment. Just got a notification that the Astros beat the Padres in 21 innings. It happened in September 1971, and Clay Kirby struck out 15 batters over 15 innings pitched in the loss.

This is sad news. Another one of the voices of my childhood is gone.
Sad news for longtime Padres fans. Original Padres PA announcer John DeMott passed away this past weekend in Florida. I've known Demo since Ray Kroc took the mike from him on Opening Day 1974.
