This week’s JLab Birmingham Bowl Play of the Week goes to Auburn’s Chas Nimrod! 🐅 After falling behind 14-0, the Tigers rallied back as Nimrod came down with a bobbling, one-handed touchdown grab to tie the game in the second quarter. The catch helped fuel Auburn’s eventual 27- 24 upset of undefeated No. 1 Georgia!

In honor of our 20th anniversary, we're counting down our Top 20 plays from the last two decades of the Lab Birmingham Bowl. #19 Early in the third quarter of the 2025 JLab Birmingham Bowl, Georgia Southern's Dorrian Smith picked off Appalachian State quarterback Noah Gillon for his second interception of the game, tying a school bowl record. The Eagles went on to secure a 29-10 victory, their second win over the Mountaineers that season in the storied "Deeper Than Hate" rivalry. #JLab #jlabbirminghambowl

This week’s JLab Birmingham Bowl Play of the Week goes to Kentucky’s Brock Coffman, who tiptoes down the sideline for a spectacular 55-yard punt return touchdown to put the Wildcats ahead of No. 10 LSU in the second quarter of their eventual 35–34 overtime victory! #jlabbirminghambowl

Last night, we celebrated our Committee Chairs with some great fellowship and tasty food at Dreamland. We're so thankful for the work of our Committee Chairs and are looking forward to our 20th JLab Birmingham Bowl on December 29!

This week's play of the week comes from FAU's Leonard Farrow who returned an opening kickoff of 98 yards for a score, then returned another kickoff 92 yards for his second TD. The Owls ended up winning 62-10.

This week’s JLab Birmingham Bowl Play of the Week comes late in the fourth quarter, as Mississippi State’s Anthony Evans III lays out for a diving catch on a 48-yard deep ball from Kamario Taylor, setting up the go-ahead touchdown in the Bulldogs’ comeback win over Missouri at home.

Arkansas and Tulsa renew a regional series that dates back to 1899 and has featured nearly 75 meetings. The Golden Hurricane make the short trip across the Oklahoma-Arkansas border to Razorback Stadium for the first meeting between the two since 2018.

We are still replaying our JLab Birmigham Bowl Play of the Week from last Saturday’s Louisville game where Keyjuan Brown had a 58-yard touchdown at the beginning of the second half. On the second play of the drive in the third quarter, Brown found a hole and beat SMU defenders down the sideline for the 58-yard score that changed the game.
