Congratulations to @AbbyCordova0411 and the rest of the Notre Dame Eliminating Violence against Women (E-VAW) Lab on this latest publication.
Why are more women migrating to the US from Central America?
A new study by @AbbyCordova0411, Jonathan Hiskey, Mary Malone, & @DianaOrces uncovers how gender-based violence (GBV) is pushing women from Northern Central America to seek safety up north.

New Article! What does a right to stay look like in Lebanon? It's complicated - and should change how we think about the right itself! Proud to contribute to @JMHSjournal's collection on the right to stay, grounded in @JRSLebanon's work. Check it out!

Paper out in @JMHSjournal today. It's been such a painful year.
This study engages with Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian LGBTIQ+ IDPs from South Lebanon, where the intersection of their sexual and gender identities with displacement necessitates a precarious balance—staying invisible to most while selectively visible to a trusted few.
The research challenges rigid distinctions between "refugee" and "IDP" for this group, emphasizing the need for inclusive frameworks that reflect the intersectional realities of the hyper-marginalized in displacement.
