There was once a shepherd who found a wolf caught in a snare at the edge of his pasture. The wolf begged to be freed. “I was hungry,” it said. “That is all. Spare me, and I will remember your mercy!” The shepherd cut the rope. The next night, three lambs were gone. Again the shepherd found the wolf. Again it pleaded. Again the shepherd convinced himself that mercy was proof of his goodness. By winter, half the flock was dead. An old farmer finally asked him, “Why do you keep freeing it?” The shepherd answered, “Because I refuse to become cruel.” The farmer looked at the empty field and said, “Then understand what you have done. You were not merciful to the wolf. You were cruel to everything that trusted you to keep them safe.” That’s the lesson. Mercy without judgment isn’t virtue. When someone openly intends to destroy what has been entrusted to you, endless forgiveness doesn’t make you righteous. It makes everyone behind you pay for your vanity.

If the Pentagon is telling U.S. bases to be ready to operate autonomously for 90 days it means you should be prepared for a complete collapse of every normal day to day function you take for granted for at least double that time frame.

THERE ARE GROWN MEN WHO STILL GET QUIET WHEN THEY HEAR A MEDEVAC BIRD. 🚁 Because they remember waiting on one. A nine-line going over the radio. Doc is working on their buddy. Everybody else was pulling security, helping where they could, and asking the same question. “Where’s the bird?” The guy on that litter had been laughing with you that morning. Talking about his kids, trying to bum a cigarette. Now you were watching Doc’s face, trying to figure out how bad it was. Then somebody heard the rotors. “They’re coming.” You still had to get your buddy aboard. The landing zone still wasn’t safe. But the people you needed were finally there. And those DUSTOFF crews came into some terrible places to get us. Pilots putting the aircraft down under fire in dust so thick you wondered how they could see. Crew chiefs watch for threats and help load the wounded. Flight medics taking over from a Doc who’d done everything he could. You handed them, somebody you loved. Then you stood there in the rotor wash and watched them take him away, hoping you’d see him again. Some of us did. Some of us remember that flight as the last time we saw our friend. To the DUSTOFF crews: you might never know what happened to every soldier you carried. But there are veterans out here who remember that ride. And buddies who still remember you showing up. Some families got years together because you got there in time. We remember your crews who didn’t come home, too. We know coming for us costs lives. Thank you for every dangerous landing. Every wounded soldier you cared for. Every chance you gave our friends. 👇If you could speak to the crew that came for you or your buddy, what would you tell them? @Boots_N_Chutes @cmrowe77 #DUSTOFF #GWOT #CombatMedics #Veterans #bootsandchutesunfiltered

"You're going to shoot a paraplegic man in a wheelchair?" Keep in mind that this NINE-MONTH pregnant mother, Pvt. Francheska Velez, was on the ground in a fetal position, screaming “My baby! My baby!” when he stood over her and put a bullet through her chest. Oh, and he's in a wheelchair b/c of the injuries he sustained from return fire after he had killed his victims. So, yes. You're damn right we're going to shoot that MTHFKRing monster straight through his putrid MTHFKN heart with multiple rounds of hot lead... and we're going to celebrate it being publicly broadcast. Hope that helps.

In George Washington’s farewell address, he warned the American people against what he called: “Pretended Patriotism.” He went to say that republics were specifically vulnerable to foreign influence, and that corrupt politicians, and foreign agents would weaponize this “pretended patriotism” against good Americans to trick them into supporting foreign entanglements. Sound familiar?
George Washington, in his farewell address, said that of all the habits that lead to a nation’s prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. He warned against anyone who claimed patriotism while tearing those down. He wasn’t making a policy point. He was telling us what holds the whole thing up. A free people answers to God first. Everything else follows from that. Where are we as a society without God?

Bob Ross did 20 years in the Air Force and spent a good chunk of it yelling at people. He enlisted in 1961 at 18. Too tall and flat-footed to fly, so they made him a medical records tech. Later he was first sergeant of the clinic at Eielson in Alaska, the guy who made you scrub the latrine and remake the bunk. Nickname around the unit was “Bust ’Em Up Bobby.” He retired in 1981 as a master sergeant. He picked up painting at a USO class up there and said the mountains stuck with him. Once he got out he swore he’d never raise his voice again. The soft talk was on purpose. He’d already done the other version.

My richest mentor told me: "By the time most people are done analyzing, I've already made 3 mistakes and found a better way." Being slow costs more than being wrong.

"A peaceful man must still know violence, or his peace belongs to whoever threatens it." —Miyamoto Musashi There is a difference between choosing peace and being incapable of conflict. From the outside, they can look identical. Only one is a virtue. The other is helplessness. A sheep and a lion can both appear peaceful... but only one possesses restraint. The other possesses no alternative. Virtue only exists when you could choose otherwise. The world does not respect good intentions... it tests them. Your loyalty will be tested. Your patience will be tested. Your convictions will be tested. Sooner or later... life asks every person the same question... "What are you willing to defend?" Strength doesn't exist to create violence... It exists so violence doesn't dictate your choices. A person who cannot protect what is good will eventually watch someone else decide what survives. But strength isn't measured by how much force a person can unleash… It's measured by how much force they can control. The most dangerous person is not the one who enjoys hurting others... It is the one who has earned the ability to fight and the wisdom not to... Unless it's necessary.

The dishes are in the sink because people ate. The shoes are by the door because people came home. The toys are scattered everywhere because people were happy. Some of the mess is proof of a good life. Stay grateful.

I returned to New York City for a couple of weeks after 9/11 to search for my mother even though I knew that was going to be fruitless, to clear out her apartment and hold her memorial. On one of the last days I was going to be in the city I was riding on the B train which goes over the East River on the Manhattan Bridge. All eyes were toward Ground Zero where the towers used to be and all that was left was ruins and smoke. I was riding toward Midtown Manhattan to file for my mother's death certificate at the Jacob Javits Center and I was reading articles in the newspaper about the fallen firefighters. Of course I was sympathetic for their families because their loved ones had died trying to rescue people like my mother. Still I was asking God in my heart who would tell her story since I I believed and was later able to confirm that she had remained behind to help her friend who had trouble walking. When I finally reached the center I stalled going in because it made things so final and I was approached by Andrea Peyser from the New York Post who interviewed me about my mother. I had just asked God who would tell my mother's story and it turned out it was going to be me!

🔥 Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer just TORCHED Lindsay Clancy in front of MILLIONS "NOBODY CARES — Nor SHOULD we care — how she's feeling." "I have probably taken the lives of men who deserved it LESS than this woman." "I hope she is suffering a TENTH of what her child was suffering as she stood behind her child with with her workout band, and she CHOKED and listened and felt her child SQUIRM and fight against this." "And then she didn't just do it to one, she did it TWO MORE TIMES!" "And we're worried about how this woman's feeling?! Nobody cares. Nobody cares!" "She is nothing less than PURE EVIL."

There is an increasing tendency of young-ish American leftist women to treat mental disorders as a political movement and as a justification for bad behaviors. This trend is accelerating at an exponential rate. The result is that many men are starting to see women in general as threats to civilization. The "repeal the 19th Amendment" jokes are starting to no longer be jokes. I do not believe any man or group of men can fix this. The only solution, I believe, is for older (like over 40) women of power and influence to vocally and actively combat this phenomenon at every level and to hold these younger women to account for their aberrant behaviors, at every level: in the workplace, in the schoolhouse, in the government, in the media and at the national level. This trend is an ominous one and it needs to be reversed before it is too late.

A significant number of Gen X veterans entered service when the force was still postured against communism. The post-9/11 wars came after most of our careers. We are not the same generation. We were raised without soft treatment and without concern for feelings—just a mandate to accomplish the mission. That mindset prepared us for hard fights. We do not back down and we do not quit. God bless America. 🫡🇺🇸

The divide is no longer merely political. The left and right are becoming rival civilizations, with different gods, truths, moral codes, and visions of what a human being is. At some point, a shared country cannot survive two incompatible realities. That point is now.
Lindsay Clancy, who is on trial for killing her three children by strangulation, has had supporters raise $1 million to support her and her family.
