What you are witnessing with The Coalition and Gears of War is the ego of game devs. Each new iteration of their devs, and programmers/designers want to leave their mark. They want to reinvent the game because of course they know how to make it better than it was. They know what the community truly wants more than the people who played it for 20 years. They will soon learn that this horde shit they created, while could be cool, players really dont care. Thats not what Gears of War is fundementally, and it will show down the line as this game type becomes almost non existent, and pvp carries it forward as per usual. They want their prized child to be the main attraction to this game, and they could careless about the community as a whole. They will force feed you their dream, even though youre not hungry for anything new. Hopefully the PVP is a 10/10, because if not, Microsoft has to take the title from them and give it to a studio that actually understands it.
