I changed my mind again and this the final time fire Flus and everyone with him , Trade Fields and let’s see if we can draft a real QB
This is really it frfr , either way we can’t lose but I think I will stick with Fields just because of the value I believe we will get from the #1 pick in a trade .

With the Titans trading away Jeffrey Simmons, the Bengals are now adjusting their gameplan for this Sunday.
I asked Ted Karras about it:
“2 hours of anxiety last night is gone.”

The point of football is to win the Super Bowl. I love process, I love trade value, I love the long game. Terrific things. But the point of the sport is to get a ring whenever you can and everything short of that is functionally useless. The Bears get it.

We all joked about Motivated Dayo. We now, with the addition of his old college teammate and close personal friend in Jeffery Simmon... along with the burn and embarassment that came from his PED suspension... have a very, very motivated Montez Sweat.

"They've got the best roster in Chicago since the '85 Bears. They went and got the closest thing to Reggie White and Aaron Donald in a long time."

Jeffery Simmons has a HOF-level blend of strength, skill, and athleticism
This is the type of talent that can get the Bears over the hump this season

If you have any doubt Jeffery Simmons won’t make that much of an impact for the Bears defense. You better go watch the film.

The Bears defense was 14th in EPA/P and 4th in success rate before this. I don't think people understand how good a job Dennis Allen was doing w this unit entirely w smoke and mirrors and now they've added a legitimate force multiplier.

Bears fans are seeing "All-Pro" next to Jeffery Simmons' name and are thinking "Oh man, he's good" (he is), but just how good is Jeffery Simmons?
Per @NextGenStats, Simmons has generated 28 pressures this season — the most among NFL DTs — and that includes 10 pressures and three sacks when double-teamed — both of which are also the most among DTs.
What about against the run, you say?
Simmons has faced 101 double teams this season, the second-most among defensive tackles. But that hasn't stopped him from recording 21 run stops, which is tied for the second-most among DTs, while playing a career-high 86.6% of the Titans defensive snaps.
He's a mauler no matter what situation you put him in.

Newest Bears DT Jeffery Simmons currently ranks No. 1 on ESPN's pass rush win rate for defensive tackles. He finished second in that category last season and first in 2024.

The defensive tackles to go late in Round 1 in the last few drafts:
• Caleb Banks
• Peter Woods
• Derrick Harmon
• Tyleik Williams
• Mazi Smith
• Bryan Bresee
No disrespect to those guys. But I’d rather have Jeffery Simmons. #Bears
