10/27 @ 2PM: The combination of gusty winds, wave action, & higher astronomical tides has resulted in *major* coastal flooding along the east coast of South Florida today. Do not drive your vehicle in saltwater flooding; even if you don't stall outright... the salt is corrosive.

Palm Beach today was a mess! Gale warning, high surf advisory, coastal flood warning, strong onshore winds and rough seas continue tomorrow. Sand is getting chewed up on the beaches with lots of erosion

7 pm | Multiple astronomical high tide cycles with pounding surf at our beaches will cause multiple hazards, including saltwater coastal flooding, moderate to locally major beach erosion, and a high risk of life-threatening rip currents. #FLwx

What an incredible sight this morning! π
I heard SpaceX was launching a rocket from Cape Canaveral, so I grabbed my phone and headed out to my dock in Tequesta, Florida.
The glowing blooms of blue, gold, and pink spreading across the predawn sky were absolutely breathtaking! What an experience to witness!

10/10 | There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for excessive rainfall today. Scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms are forecast to develop mainly between 2pm-9pm. Heavy rain will have the potential to lead to flooding of low-lying areas and ponding of roadways. #FL

ISAIAS TOP WIND REPORTS: Over half a dozen sites reached gusts of 100+ mph. Pensacola Beach (East) hit 117 mph with even Whiting Field north of Milton gusting to 114 mph...25 miles inland! Despite the "weakening" at landfall, #Isaias still packed a punch.
10/4: A pocket of dry air aloft will limit shower & thunderstorm activity across South Florida today, offering the lowest rain chances of the next 7 days.
Take advantage of the drier conditions while they last, as deeper moisture arrives Mon/Tue to bring back a wetter pattern.
