DID YOU KNOW…
when the Buchenwald concentration camp was liberated on April 11, 1945 Allied soldiers & camp survivors discovered grisly human artifacts in the camp's pathology laboratory. These included two shrunken heads, tattooed human skin, organs & a human skin lampshade.
The ad from the campaign of Ohio Republican gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy being shared on social media about his opponent is gross and vile.
An unbelievable low has been reached in this particular election.

TERRIFIC discussion in my Civics classes today on the 1st Amendment, what is protected/what is not, and some very important Supreme Court cases:
TINKER v. DES MOINES (1969).
BRANDENBURG v. OHIO (1969).
COHEN v. CALIFORNIA (1971).
BETHEL v. FRASER (1986).
TEXAS v. JOHNSON (1989).
Two things…
Why would the Department of War invest in a pharmaceutical company?
If Republicans currently control the House, Senate and White House... why can’t that investment be done now?
HAPPY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY!!!
Did you know that when the area around Paintsville was first explored by white men in the 1750s, they discovered carvings and trees along what is now Paint Creek that had been stripped of their bark and painted red and black with animals?

What have we become? We should never be a country that livestreams executions!
The U.S. military plans to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, the ex-Army major who was convicted of the 2009 killing of 13 people at Fort Hood, when he faces a firing squad on Dec. 3, a Pentagon official said.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said earlier Thursday the Pentagon planned to make the execution public.
Hasan's case could mark the military's first execution of an American service member since 1961.

Thankful that I got to spend some time this week researching at the @marshallu Special Collections Department! Saw some good friends and dug through some @Herd_MBB history on the microfilm machine!
