The tragedy of Republican politics in Texas.
Texas has shown free market policies work.
But instead of making that case, Texas Republicans have decided that their main issue should be announcing they believe that everyone who isn’t a white Christian isn’t a real American.
Strange strategy to adopt when less than a third of children in your state are non-Hispanic whites. richardhanania.com/p/choose-…

The quickest route to getting rid of the Electoral College is flipping Texas blue.
Republicans do not have a pathway to winning enough electoral votes without Texas, they will be begging to switch to a popular vote.

I've been wondering something for a while, and after reading that New York Times article about Zach Lahn, I'm going to ask. Iowa:
Does anyone think it's weird to have 6 kids all under the age of 15 in one state and choose to run for office 400 miles away?
Just asking on a pure parenting level. If you have to relocate because of work, I get that. If you're a multimillionaire who works for yourself and you choose to run for office 400 miles away, during their childhoods? I don't get that.

This guy is a devout Christian who was granted protection from his home country because Islamist terrorists are trying to institute sharia law. He's lived here half his life. He's married to an American & has American kids. This is not who the government should be targeting.
A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him.
Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r
