Kerri Courtney has been a pivotal part of the #StVrainStorm for 11 years! As a teacher in @SVVSDLaunchED, her classroom looks a bit different this year. Whether it’s from a converted shed in her back yard, or a traditional classroom, Kerri goes beyond! stvra.in/launchedstory
Reading the opening of one of my favorite books for #ReadAcrossAmericaDay! Set in my favorite city, Barcelona, it is a beautiful book. The opening ends with this: "...few things leave a deeper mark on a reader than the first book that finds its way into his heart..." 1/2🧵
"Those first images, the echo of words we think we have left behind, accompany us throughout our lives and sculpt a palace in our memory to which, sooner or later- no matter how many books we read, how many worlds we discover, or how much we learn or forget- we will return."🧵
The Cemetery of Forgotten Books is a place that is alive in my mind thanks to Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I read the opening in my Spanish classes and will read it today to classes @SVVSDLaunchED. Mil Gracias @ZafonOficial for your work! #greatFULL #StVrainStorm #ReadAcrossAmerica
It was 4° this morning when I went for my COVID test and those folks were as professional, friendly and efficient as ever. I am so #grateFULL.
