🚨 Sir Alex Ferguson’s emotional letter to Cristiano Ronaldo following his retirement from international football: 🎙️ “Cristiano, I don’t know if you will ever fully understand what you have meant to football, to Manchester United, to Portugal, and most importantly, to me. When you first walked into my office as a young boy from Sporting Lisbon, I saw something special. I saw hunger, confidence, courage and a boy who believed he could become the best in the world. But when I look at you, I don’t just see a footballer. I see a young boy who refused to surrender his dreams. You may be saying goodbye to international football, but you will never say goodbye to the memories you have given us. And if I could speak to that 18-year-old boy I brought to Manchester all those years ago, I would tell him one thing: ‘You have no idea how many lives you are about to touch.’ But there is one thing I must say. I don’t believe this is how your international journey should have ended. A player who has given so much to his country deserves a much greater honour and farewell.
