Office Hours have changed! After 6 years of weekly office hours, I'm needing to change the hybrid link and the time. Now, every Friday morning from 8-9am at tinyurl.com/JTsOfficeHours or on my front porch at 269 Washington Street!

Video from Tuesday's meeting about FAB zoning is now available at youtu.be/bL8O1OETyxo?si=SEzP… (Sorry for the audio glitch that cut out the first Question from Wiley and Answer from Dir Lewis; it's good past that.)

Oh for the love of sweet jiminy christmas
MBTA officials have known since *April 2021* that the Green Line Extension didn't meet construction requirements. It opened anyway. Gov. Healey said "senior MBTA officials" under Charlie Baker "knew" & "did not disclose" issues with the tracks Bombshell—bostonglobe.com/2023/10/19/m…

Sadly, it's not "construction", it's worse: City Hall hasn't had a functional boiler in years, so every year the City rents one and parks it out front to power the heating system. That's the big fenced off thing where the bike rack used to be. crumbling infrastructure, etc etc
Replying to @somershade1
I will take this moment to complain, ever so briefly, that the construction on Central Hill has reduced the bike parking at City Hall from four (4) spots to two (2). Hopefully temporarily. 5/?

Hey y'all, with the move to Zoom auto-uploading and hosting videos from neighborhood meetings has gotten a bit harder. But the Somernova meeting from 9/25 is now uploaded!

You can find the video at youtu.be/5K4CUzphzXQ - I'm still working on adding captions and trimming it, but if you want an early look go right ahead, and send it to your friends, too!

Glad to be on the Commons today to celebrate #RecoveryDay We need to care for our neighbors, to keep them alive and give them a chance to find that path to long term recovery. It's past time for action. SOMERVILLE needs shelters, and we need an Overdose Prevention Site now!

Thanks to @OjikutuBisola and @RobbieForChange for the words today highlighting the racial inequities and lack of housing supports that we need to overcome - let's work together in strength and courage to lead the way on making Recovery reachable for our neighbors.

And of course, thanks to @wutrain for showing up too! It's great to highlight the progress in the past year and change, and there's so much more public policy work to be done.

Yes, this. ALSO: a neighborhood meeting for this proposal on MONDAY, SEPT 25. You can join us in person at 7pm at 15 Properzi Way, or online at tinyurl.com/somernovaZoning
Somernova is proposing a large-scale development between Market Basket & Park St, focused on “climate tech” commercial space & a community center. The City Council will likely begin considering a zoning proposal in next few months - take a look: somernova.community/master-p…

Hey, do you ALSO want local journalism to be revived? And do you like live music? There's a benefit concert to benefit the Somerville Wire next Friday, Sept 29 @ 7pm here in Union Square at Warehouse XI! (Look for it in the alley behind Bronwyn.)

(Motor traffic unaffected as the repairs are to structural beams *under* the street deck, not above.) 86, 91, and 87 buses are recommended by the MBTA; there will NOT be any shuttle service provided from the MBTA Union Square stop into Lechmere during the project.

The guidance from MBTA is "divert to East Somerville stop or out to the Orange Line via the CT2 etc." Public information meeting will happen on Sep 12, and there's a project hotline that has been established: 617-927-9957 I appreciate our state delegation for being all over it!
