My result came with an F in a course I didn't struggle with. "Eki, I'll fix it but you will testify." So I held onto hope that God will sort it out and appealed the result. Guess what happened? They said I actually failed. I could've bombarded God with questions on why He made me hope for nothing but I have long understood that the way of God is not of man. So even while I was sure I wrote enough to pass the course, I accepted it and moved on. A carryover. It wasn't easy sha oh. I mean, I'm in 500 level so the fear in my heart was palpable. A few months and my induction would be here. What if something like this happened then? More so in a faculty where anything below a C is an F. While I was trying hard to curb that fear, my sister told me they'd updated results on our student portal. So I checked mine and saw they were colour-coded. I was jejely scrolling waiting to see red but the red didn't come. I looked again and again. No F. None. But you know how it is, those officials could've easily uploaded whatever they liked. So, I reached out to the department's exam officer about it. I'd earlier spoken to her about a review but it amounted to nothing. She said she'd check and for the hours that followed, my heart was living in my mouth. Then she sent two messages. The only one I could see was "good morning." I was like "Jesus, oh my Jesus what's the outcome?" Guess what? I passed it. Who reviewed it? I don't know. How did the person follow up? I don't know. Was it an initial mistake? I have no idea. All I know is that He said "Eki, I'll fix it." And He did. He fixed it. This happened months ago and I have been low-key battling whether or not to share it. But what is my life for if not to speak of the wonders of the Lord? Truly the Lord stands for you in places where you have no man.
