A rating of BAA1 is just 2 notches from being non-investment grade, ie junk bond status · UA is now 2nd lowest rated flagship university in the nation. Puerto Rico is lowest. · To best of Moody’s knowledge there's never been 3 point drop in ratings in 1 fell swoop

Just got this: Later today Moody’s will downgrade UA three notches from A1 to BAA1 with a negative outlook. The rating committee deliberated for 3 hours on this issue today 1/2
