Tennessee HC Josh Heupel spoke with media across the #SEC on Wednesday during the weekly SEC coaches teleconference. I asked him what has been the most difficult part of coaching this season. Heupel: "The hardest thing you encounter is the turnover on your roster, with the transfer portal and NIL, all of those things. I think that's the biggest thing that has changed in the sport. And I think in part because of that, you know, keeping your team together during the duration of the season, the focus of your team, week in, week out, and really as much as anything, day in, day out, to be your best by game day, is the biggest thing that, you know, you got to do a great job of.”

Reports are coming in from day 1 of bye week practice. Josh took the team out for ice cream and told them it was fine to be the most penalized team to ever exist. It’s what he is used to his teams doing and we just need to get better.

Beamer earned the right to talk shit with the win yesterday. He's 2-2 against us and beaten two ranked Tennessee teams. We never get a chance to return the favor because he's never ranked when they play us.
Tennessee plays SC next in 2028, idk if Beamer will be coaching them but I think most of their fans are kind of hoping he isn't?
This may be unpopular but here it is. From the perspective of the long-term health of this program at South Carolina, I have to wonder whether Saturday’s victory actually did more to protect the current coaching staff than it did to move South Carolina football forward.
