Important allyship
Former Saturday Night Live host Dan Levy has called out Shane Gillis over remarks he made about women during his SNL opening monologue this past weekend.
Levy specifically took issue with a portion of Gillis' monologue in which the comedian described going to the gym and observing that "women just dress like whores now."
Responding in an Instagram Reel, Levy said: "Women wearing short shorts at the gym does not make them whores. It makes the men calling them whores misogynists. There's a difference there. By the way, I've seen more men's nipples at the gym than I've ever seen women showing their bodies off."
"But I'm speechless that something like that can exist on live national television. And to be perfectly honest, more men need to be standing up in opposition to it because it's complacency that has created the environment in which women are sexually assaulted and it's a 'conversation' as opposed to a 'crime.'"
"This is not a women's issue, this is an everybody issue. Because the more that men objectify women in the media, the more that other men see them as objects and treat them as objects. They are not objects. They are superior human beings to men, OK? And I'm sorry if this gets me in trouble with the internet, but fuck."

not only am i against interpretation im against description of any kind. nothing is "about" anything. words are reductionist symbolic representation. destroy all language. moan when something is good and scream when something is bad

i’m far more concerned that lesbians who’ve been correctively assaulted are witnessing their *own community* insist that being able to cum with a man means they must actually be bisexual (an orientation that implies men are a legitimate prospect), despite them saying they’re not
No one has a problem with a ‘straight’ woman who has slept with women. Why is a sexuality label only suddenly tarnished if there’s a man involved?
I don’t really like men and I’m not really attracted to them but I reserve my right to fuck one without anyone being weird to me lol
Certainly I think it’s not like…reinforcing dyke breaking if I were to do so. The assumption that I would ever fuck a man who would take our hookup as some kind of evidence of hehe effectiveness or acceptability of corrective rape of lesbians is offensive to me tbh.

Idk if any of you remember the woman on tiktok who was digging a mine shaft under her suburban home, but for those who do, this is what shes up to lately
Boymoding has always been a refusal to try out of a fear of failing. It’s cool if that’s what you wanna choose to do but you gotta be really really honest with yourself about where the impulse is coming from I think.
This is what most of the “try harder” crowd believes tbh. Probably best to stop engaging with them. I am speaking to myself here tbh

It doesn't because ADHD is fake disease people use to make themselves victims because actually being responsible is difficult
Adhd “solutions” and its “use a routine” lmao
ADHD time blindness solutions that I swear by as someone who is always 5 minutes early now:
- Set alarms for every hour or other regular increment, so you have a regular alert of how much time is passing even if you're focused on something else
- Set alarms for 15 minutes, then 10 minutes, then 5, then a "now" alarm for when you absolutely need to to be out the door to be "on time" (see below)
- Consider 10-15 minutes early to be your new "on time" (because you'll realistically get distracted into being late if you try to get there exactly on time)
- Prepare things in advance. These might be outfit, breakfast, lunch, etc., ensuring less chance you'll get sucked in to something that can cause you to lose track of time (like getting dressed). You can take your time getting distracted with these now, but you can't when you're on a tight schedule/need to rush.
- Use a routine and do your "get ready" tasks in order. Structure helps ADHD a lot in part because variation in routine is more likely to cause forgetting, distraction, and not accurately judging the time needed for tasks.
- Do stuff in the car. Have breakfast options like bars in the car, keep an extra layer or jacket in the car, etc. so you don't get held up fussing about these things and you can leave immediately if you're running late.
- If you have an appointment/scheduled thing later and you're in "waiting mode," set a timer for how much time you will allow yourself to get busy with something else. Set a second timer as a reminder to really stop if you have trouble switching tasks. Waiting mode is anxiety about losing track of time and missing the obligation, so if you set timers, you can allow yourself to get into a task without being preoccupied about starting something else and becoming late.
- If you have a hard time getting going, set an alarm for 30m before your wakeup time and take your meds then. Keep them on your nightstand w water. When your wakeup alarm goes off you'll have an easier time staying focused and not slacking into leaving late.
- Use a watch, ideally analog-looking and easy to read, so that you can see the proportion of time that is left and not just numbers. Using your phone to keep track of time can work but you're more likely to get distracted by it and forget you picked it up just to check the time. I use a Google Pixel watch.
