One of the saddest things a workplace
can do: Take a passionate, talented person who genuinely cares about their work..
Someone who had ideas. Who wanted to make a difference. Who actually gave a sh*t.
And turn them into someone crying in the bathroom on a Tuesday afternoon. Someone who's stopped speaking up. Stopped believing in themselves. And is now just trying to survive another week We need to stop normalising workplaces doing this to good people. Your job should never be the reason you're losing yourself.
Atheist enough to know that my wishes won't come true until I work for them. Religious enough to know that He won't let me lose.
Namibia's first female president has reportedly ordered the deportation of over 500 Americans, stating, 'I Africans need visas to enter the USA, then Americans must also need visas to enter Namibia.
i learned ants really have no concept of us as humans because of their limited eyesight and how big we are to them. they see us as
moving shadows, or wind, or like obstaclesand landscape (i imagine mountains). makes me wonder what's in front of me right now that's too large
for me to comprehend.
I think one of the hardest parts about growing up is watching friendships change without anyone actually doing anything
wrong. There's no fight, no betrayal, no proper goodbye. You just slowly stop talking every day, plans become harder to make, and suddenly you realise you don't know what's happening in their life anymore. And it's strange because you're genuinely happy for them, but somewhere inside you still miss the days when a random call could turn into hours of talking, when meeting each other didn't need planning, and when you could just show up and know you belonged. Maybe I don't miss the friendship as much as I miss how effortlessly happy we all used to be together.
Kind of tragic that the earth’s highest mountain peak is named after someone who never saw it, never climbed it, and couldn’t even pronounce its local name.
If you don't understand, read it Again &.Again.
When you take a picture of the moon, you never say the moon is ugly. you just say the camera couldn't capture how beautiful it realy is Now imagine the moon is you..
Whenever you doubt yourself remember..
"lt's never you that's lacking.. it's just that some people can't captureyour true beauty.
Some people don't just have a career, they have a calling. A career is something you can
leave at the office. A calling follows you everywhere, keeps you awake at 3 am and
refuses to let you settle for an ordinary life.
That's why some people look insane. They are not chasing money or titles, they chase
the thing they were put here to do.
Someone said to me If you want to break
generational curses, stop taking advice from the generation that never broke them.
I can't unhear it now.
This is so accurate. The people who actually care are usually the first ones management burns out because they keep saying yes and picking up the slack. Once they finally stop speaking up, leadership acts surprised. Protecting the passionate ones is just basic self-preservation for any company that wants to stay functional.
“My wife doesn’t work. She just stays home with the kids.”
Imagine saying that about every job Pilots don’t work. They just sit in a plane.Firefighters don’t work. They just stand next to fires.Surgeons don’t work. They just stand in an operating room.Programmers don’t work. They just sit at a computer.
People with big auras and star power always
get crucified in average environments. Some
places are graveyards for ambition and
obsession. These places are built to reward mediocrity and make sure no one shines.
Leave before it convinces you your light
is a mental disorder.
I don't care about flying cars when people working 40+ hours a week can barely afford rent and groceries. maybe fix the cost of living before trying to live in the sky.
