She dragged me when we were mutuals over a conversation of pidgin being a “poor man’s language”. Apparently because she speaks pidgin and could never be considered POOR then linguistics can suddenly no longer be political. But R&J is political because it doesn’t affect her, 🙄.

I think Twitter does too much sometimes. The video essay lady goofed this one time and you people want to digitally lynch her. She’s opinionated, sometimes her opinions fall flat.

Why did she even need to make commentary in the first place? It's macabre but it has taken on a more placid universal interpretation of death defying devotion. Same with Bonnie and Clyde. Ride or die. The only reason to kick up a fuss is so people can marvel at your insight.

I agree with PoliticalBaby. Romeo and Juliet is too macabre for a wedding theme. Even with "selective antonomasia", asking people to ignore ≈90% of the source material is too big an ask. There’s a reason it’s rare in weddings. All she had to do was be sane about her commentary.
