Earlier today, Bo Nix became the fifth player in NFL history to record a 50-yard passing TD and a 50-yard rushing TD in the same game, joining Justin Fields (2022), Lamar Jackson (2022), Cam Newton (2012) and Hall of Famer Ace Parker (1938).

Caleb Williams is the 1st Bears QB to throw for 300+ YDS, 1+ TD, and 0 INT in consecutive games since 2016.

The Blazers led by 31 points at the end of the 1st quarter. It's the largest lead after the 1st quarter by a team in the opening game of the season since at least 1996-97.

Anthony Edwards (45 PTS, 10 REB) joins Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor, and Anthony Davis as the only players in NBA history to record 45+ points and 10+ rebounds in a season opener.

I asked ChatGPT what Aaron Boone, Brian Cashman, and Hal Steinbrenner are most likely to say when they speak to the media:

The Detroit Pistons’ 22-point comeback in regulation is tied for the 2nd-largest comeback in a season opener by any NBA team since 1996-97.

Aaron Boone returning as Yankee manager is one thing. The real problem is the roster. They’ve NEVER been good enough to win a World Series under Boone. It’s not Boones fault that the Yankees can’t ever hit when it matters most…
