I've never seen this kind of wording together in a PR before: "statistically significant, yet modest" "higher rate of ILD" "fatal events in a small proportion of patients" $BNTX

#Esmo26 allocates 9 minutes to Q&A in presidential sessions, and as we've overrun again that's the second time there will be no Q&A. Congrats @myESMO !

$SMMT ivonescimab + chemo in Harmoni-GI1, Chinese trial in 1L cholangio. mOS 14.9 vs 12.1 for Imfinzi + chemo (HR=0.75, p=0.0031). Full data later today at #Esmo26 presidential.

So again $SMMT ivonescimab looks no better than PD-(L)1 + Avastin? OS curves from $RHHBY ph2 Imbrave-151 study in 1st-line cholangio.

Well, #Esmo26 discussant James Harding just gave Harmoni-GI1 an easy ride. Totally ignores OS numbers in Imbrave-151 - just commented that the study showed a "numerical benefit on PFS"!

$AZN claims success in sonesitatug vedotin ph3 Clarity-Gastric01 study. That enrolled patients with Claudin18.2 expression down to 25%, but we're not being told (yet) what the efficacy was at that level.

Looks like $AZN ph3 has matched $IVBXF $TAK in Claudin18.2: Clarity-Gastric01 OS data look pretty similar to G-Hope-001 - but in a Western population. Also cites a 0.63 HR in ≥25 to <75% expressers. More at #Esmo26 presidential

$HCM $AZN Saffron study makes no sense to me. Why would you give a small-molecule cMet inhibitor to patients who happen to have cMet w/t amplification, but whose tumour is still driven by EGFRm? #Esmo26

#Esmo26 discussant Benjamin Besse slams regulators for not permitting crossover in Krascendo-1 (gets applause). That's some endorsement!
Divarasib PFS & OS, vs approved KRAS G12C inhibitors in relapsed G12Cm NSCLC. Will this get a standing ovation?? #ESMO26 $RHHBY

There was a good discussion re reimbursement at today's #Esmo26 press conf. If you're a health authority that doesn't reimburse Lumakras, do you care that divarasib has beaten Lumakras (whose benefit you don't recognise)? #Kras

Interesting tidbit from Krascendo-1 divarasib trial. In the control group, only 9% of pts got Krazati, "owing to limited drug availability worldwide" $RHHBY $AMGN $BMY #ESMO26

Ivonescimab probably good enough for China approval in 1st-line choalgio. But it's underperformed on some metrics, and applicability to the west is limited. From #Esmo26, Harmoni-GI1 analysis via @ApexOnco -> apexonco.com/node/2442/ $SMMT $BNTX

One caveat (because we all love caveats): $MRK Keynote-966 China extension showed mOS of 14.1mth for Keytruda + chemo. That nearly matches ivo + chemo in Harmoni-GI1, but concerns just a 158-patient subgroup $SMMT #Esmo26
