My blind resume rankings for college football. I weighed strength of schedule more heavily than any other factor. Who you’ve played matters. espnanalytics.com/cfb-blind-…

If Mizzou goes 3-1 and you’re 9-3 with at least two wins over teams in that group. The committee put 6-2 Texas at No. 7 for a reason. Big wins matter. I think 3-1 gets Mizzou in.
Missouri (CFP 18) still plays Texas (7), Georgia (2) and Kentucky (6). USC (20) plays Indiana (4) and UCLA (8). Houston, Iowa and Boise State have no ranked opponent left. via IronFootball.app @ironfbstats

The Chiefs are that expired milk in the back of the fridge. You keep thinking it’s good because it USED to be. Reid’s offense is stale. Chris Jones has lost his edge. Butker is a liability. This dynasty is past its expiration date. Stop wasting Mahomes’ prime.

The Chiefs’ front office, led by Brett Veach, has become obsessed with POTENTIAL over PRODUCTION. They’ve valued draft picks over proven talent, repeatedly ignored glaring needs at WR, LT & EDGE, and kicked the can down the road. At some point, you have to PAY for premium positions.

4/4 — The moves I’d make NOW: WR: 2nd for Brian Thomas Jr. or TWO 1sts for Garrett Wilson. EDGE: 3rd for Will McDonald IV or Jermaine Johnson II. OT: Mid-to-late pick for immediate help. Brett Veach, STOP hoarding picks. You have Patrick Mahomes and a closing championship window. ACT LIKE IT.

The days of expecting Andy Reid and Mahomes to overcome every roster deficiency need to end. At this stage of Reid’s career, he’s no longer doing more with less. He’s doing LESS with less. You have a generational QB. Stop protecting draft picks like they’re more valuable than his championship window.

KC has TWO 3rd-round picks. Use one on a proven EDGE who can FINISH sacks. Package a 1st + late pick or a 2nd for a legit WR1. Then call a selling team about trading for immediate help at tackle. Three aggressive moves that could change this team’s ceiling overnight.

I’m so tired of watching the Chiefs play scared. Conservative, predictable bullshit cost us a 28-24 game. Butker needs to be gone. Tucker better be kicking next week. The refs handed out 100+ yards in penalties against KC, but this coaching staff deserves plenty of blame. Absolutely sickening.

The refs are doing everything they can to keep Denver in this game. 10+ penalties on the Chiefs and counting. At some point, you have to let these guys play football. Absolutely ridiculous.

The Chiefs coaching staff has serious questions to answer. Bench your starting guard AGAIN, open against Denver with the most predictable run, run, pass sequence, and botch the snap. Meanwhile, Denver is moving the ball at will. The difference in coaching and execution is glaring.

The Chiefs’ problems go deeper than one bad game. Veach’s roster building, Reid’s stubborn offense, an aging core and a pass rush that isn’t getting home. There’s plenty of blame to go around and I don’t think one deadline move fixes it. My thoughts below. 🧵

5/5 I don’t see a trade deadline fix. KC either overpays in picks and money or sends late-round picks for guys who barely move the needle. Why won’t they pursue a legit WR? And why can’t Reid adjust to the receivers they draft? These problems go beyond one trade.

4/5 I’m starting to think we’re nearing the end of the Reid era. The refusal to adapt, the roster holes, the reliance on aging stars it’s concerning. Keep missing in the draft without adding proven talent, and those pre–Alex Smith years won’t feel so distant.

3/5 The defensive line doesn’t generate enough pressure. Chris Jones gets doubled, but that can’t excuse everything. To me, he’s no longer the game wrecker KC keeps counting on. Kelce looks diminished, too. You can respect their greatness and still question what’s left.

2/5 Andy Reid’s stubbornness is part of this. The passing game feels built around the same mesh concepts and underneath throws. When Walker isn’t Superman, where’s Plan B? Add wrinkles. Get your young WRs involved. Build the scheme around the players you actually have.

1/5 Brett Veach deserves criticism. If you won’t spend to fill holes, you HAVE to hit in the draft. Too many misses and too little offseason help have left KC with protection issues and no reliable WR1. Drafting receivers means nothing if you can’t develop or use them.
