If you know me, but not @fountaincomfort, please take the time to find out more. Fountain of Comfort aims to be a public resource for mental health. That doesn't mean it is the most important thing, but it does mean that it is important.
Mental health is not an individual problem. Many mental illnesses are socially contagious. Much of mental health depends on healthy social relations.

Two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Cole Floris and Bradley Benavides, were taken into custody today on charges of allegedly lying to Congress about their involvement in the FBI’s investigations into Hunter Biden. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the since-dissolved FBI Foreign Influence Task Force. Floris led the FITF as a Deputy Assistant Director from mid-2019 through mid-2022. Benavides was the FITF Section Chief from mid-2019 through the 2020 election. Both testified that the FITF was not involved in the Hunter Biden investigations. Documentary evidence, contemporaneous communications, and witness accounts contradict their testimony. Floris is also on record privately claiming to be “running a shadow government” during the 2020 election in her role on the FITF. Lying to Congress by senior FBI officials strikes at the heart of our system. No one is above the law. The FBI has already dismantled the corrupt CR-15 squad that engaged in political weaponization targeting their opponents, including President Trump. Thanks to @TheJusticeDept @FBIKansasCity and @USAttyPirro. -DKP🇺🇸

I have important news from the Islamic Republic of Iran. They have officially decorated that they are the fourth great power in the world. They have not announced what the top three are, but they insist that they are clearly number four. Yes, this is comically delusional.

Okay, I voted. I found a DSA voting guide and just did the opposite.

I feel like I have been able to avoid the worst of the Christian Twitter flame wars by being the worst person alive and therefore not a threat to anyone’s conception of the true and the good.

If Bibi would agree to be the Shah of Iran, he would be much more popular than he is in Israel.

🚨 NEW: For the @WSJ, @Hartz_PhD and I expose the ideological takeover of the American Psychological Association. The APA is facing the possible loss of its federal accreditation authority following allegations of widespread antisemitism. But while the APA's antisemitism problem is serious, it's only a symptom of a much deeper ideological rot. The organization has become so captured by radical left-wing political activism that its commitment to scientific objectivity competence is now in serious doubt. We examined the program for this year's major APA Division 39 conference, which drew nearly 800 attendees and held 90 panels over four days. By our count, roughly 70 of the 90 panels were overtly political, and always left-wing. Topics included abolishing the family, queer anarchist psychoanalysis, dismantling gender assessment guidelines, and white supremacy. One session even concluded with a drag show. There was at least some hope that the threat of losing federal accreditation might prompt some institutional soul-searching. It didn't. Instead, APA members just elected Candice Hargons as their next president. Her campaign identifies "systemic intersectional oppression" as the profession's "common enemy" and calls for rejecting the traditional scientific notions of objectivity. Psychologists wield enormous influence over vulnerable patients, and the people seeking treatment deserve the peace of mind knowing that the care they're receiving care is evidence based and not tainted radical politics. We believe most would agree that federal accreditation should actually mean something. If the APA cannot distinguish its scientific mission from its political activism, the Education Department should reconsider whether it deserves the government's endorsement as an authority over psychological training. 🚨 ON A DARK STREET IN IRAN, A STICKY NOTE AND A VOICE: "TRUMP MEET PAHLAVI." A note small enough to hide in a fist, with a tiny crown drawn beside the name. The plate on the truck behind it is in Persian. Small as it is, being caught with it inside Iran could mean prison, or worse: this regime executes people for opposing it. They held it out anyway and said the words out loud, so President Trump would hear them. Their ask: meet Prince Reza Pahlavi, the man Iranians want to lead them once the Islamic Republic is gone. Repost it so a note this small reaches the President. Send me yours on Telegram, from Iran or anywhere else. The link is in the first reply. What would you write on yours? Tell me below. #TrumpMeetPahlavi

The impunity with which YouTube does shit like this is amazing. Why do we put up with it?
YouTube made a decision, and the channel is gone. What a shame and an absolute travesty, @TeamYouTube @YouTube

An absolute travesty. The treasures contained in this museum are the heritage of all humanity and should have no role in any protest.
🇫🇷 Chers visiteurs, en raison d’un mouvement social étudiant, le musée est fermé pour le moment. Nous vous prions de nous excuser de la gêne occasionnée. 🌍Dear visitors, due to student strikes the museum is currently closed. We apologise for the inconvenience.

A math Ph.D. working odd unskilled jobs for years. Purdue should be ashamed of itself. Its credential is worthless.
In other words, established mathematicians and leaders of the community, completely failed a fellow mathematician yet again, turned him into a @SUBWAY PhD, and wasted almost his entire career over BS for decades. Point Blank. Question: why do we listen to leaders like this?

When I was at church this morning, I was thinking, wow, if this is true, God literally brought himself to Earth as a man to get involved, and yet statistically speaking Christians can't bother to get involved a lot of the time because they think it's too worldly or something.

Last year I thought Threads was an existential risk to X. When Meta puts its full weight behind something -- by injecting the app into Instagram, it’s DEFCON 5: You have to squeeze out every last drop of growth from all available surfaces to save the app. However, I started to realize that the opposite was happening: It was strengthening X. If you look at any announcement by Zuck, you will see the most rude & toxic comments on the internet. But when he makes those same announcements on X, people are thrilled about how he’s pushing humanity forward. X is a place where people are excited about the future, so it’s no surprise he and his top lieutenants are using it more than their own app. Threads — and Bluesky — have effectively quarantined some of the worst people on the internet. And so I had an epiphany: those apps are X’s anti-abuse systems.
