It never ceases to amaze me how people are always over leveraged at market tops. Seeing traders on my timeline who are down 30-50% on their portfolio in a single day. If you don’t learn how to protect the downside.. It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN you get carried out in a body bag… Theres a graveyard full of traders that only learned about risk of ruin after they’re already lowering the casket. Don’t be that person. 🥀

I’m a big advocate for putting all your energy into the largest stream of income you currently have. Way too many retail traders are making a below average salary and putting their small amount of disposable income into a trading account hoping to flip it into vast wealth. All the while dumping all of their time into something that isn’t paying them. You’d be better off buying lotto tickets. Go start a business, climb your industry, pick up a side hustle. Trade on the side, and don’t put SO much energy into it. When the income from trading surpasses your main income, then and only then can you think of quitting.
