🔴 James Talarico is making his position on gun control increasingly clear, and Texans need to know exactly where he stands!
🇺🇸 In a September interview, Talarico was asked whether a federal ban on certain semiautomatic rifles was still on the table.
His response?
💥 “ABSOLUTELY.”
Yes, you read that correctly!
And this isn’t the first time Talarico has supported additional restrictions on firearms.
📜 LET’S LOOK AT HIS LEGISLATIVE RECORD!
🔹 2023 – HB 2744: Talarico coauthored legislation that would have made transferring certain semiautomatic rifles to individuals under 21 a state jail felony, with limited exceptions.
🔹 2025 – HB 5025: Talarico authored legislation that would have prohibited visibly carrying a handgun inside a public library, including by licensed handgun carriers.
🔹 ADDITIONAL GUN CONTROL PROPOSALS: His record and public statements have included support for expanded background checks, restrictions on certain semiautomatic rifles, magazine limitations, and additional firearm transfer requirements.
🚨 AND NOW HE’S SAYING A FEDERAL GUN BAN IS “ABSOLUTELY” ON THE TABLE?!
Here’s my question for Texans:
At what point do we stop pretending these politicians aren’t telling us exactly what they want to do?
⚖️ The Second Amendment isn’t some privilege handed down by politicians in Austin or Washington, D.C. It’s a constitutional right!
And when someone running for statewide office openly entertains federal firearm bans, Texans deserve to know about it.
