Added functionality for Jev style local decisions in my @aisdk @ollama package.

People rewrite in Rust or Go and claim that as the reason for huge performance gains, at face value that's cool but when looking at what actually makes stuff faster it's almost never the language. A small thread.
For @EffectTS_ I'm using jagreehal.github.io/effect-a….
Now in PRs use static analysis to show you determinisically what the changes are github.com/jagreehal/executa…
This helps AI Agents use this as a fact based foundation to provide more insights and analysis for skills to use.
Thinking about creating a /pr skill. You invoke it to create a PR that:
- Makes human review as fast and as simple as possible
- Takes the best parts of /show-me by @dexhorthy
- Uses your domain language (from /grill-with-docs)
- Shows evidence that the change works (images, test output etc)
- Assesses merge risk (is it a one-way door, or a two-way door?)
IMO every model/harness I've seen creates garbage PR bodies - needs a skill here.
WDYT?
Love how at a company with 80% code written by AI, have a no AI use policy in interviews.
So if you're not writing code, you're losing your skills that will enable you to get a job
So last week, I interviewed with Anthropic. The first stage of their interview process was a nonsense Leet code problem, with an interviewer that didn’t ask me any questions, and I’m positive he didn’t know anything about me.
Later that day, an Anthropic researcher quit and said he was worried about the company causing human extinction. 🤣
Hard pass. Haha. I don’t think they liked me anyway.

How do you test #WebMCP with Playwright? Hopefully my post can help arrangeactassert.com/posts/w…
Well done to the @prisma team! v8 Mongo has solved a lot of the perf issues in previous versions 🚀
And still the most type-safe ORM for @MongoDB github.com/jagreehal/mongodb…
npmjs.com/package/ai-sdk-oll… updated for v7 🚀

Introducing ai-test-kit, a test library for AI SDK apps
I maintain a handful of packages in the AI ecosystem and keep repeating the same patterns:
Mocking a model, building parts, simulating a stream, ...
The kit abstracts that boilerplate into one-liners
100% Agree. That fact the eve is built on AI SDK proves how good it is
My thoughts on eve vs AI SDK
AI SDK is lower level foundation, focused on provider abstraction and related functionality, and as minimal dependency as possible. It is UI framework agnostic and gives you the full control, including provider-specific configuration options.
The tradeoff is that you need to use other libraries (e.g. workflow SDK, chat SDK), wire everything together, define the deployment, think about the prompts, etc when building agents with AI SDK.
This is where eve comes in - it takes care of wiring, integrations, basic prompt assembly and makes it super easy to create agents. Very excited that we now have this higher level framework with eve - a Next.js for agents!
I tried to create something similar but this is so much better!
painful mistake adopting @EffectTS_ that we've finally unpicked
always start with a managed runtime and build up from there
avoids odd runtime bugs, layer duplication, easier flushing and simpler interop with vanilla ts code
@SandroMaglione was right

While I wait for @mattpocockuk to release a @EffectTS_ course, I'll learn via tests.
This is the way. My recommendation is to create file alongside the existing so you and agent have a reference point throughout the journey
Replying to @iamsahaj_xyz
I’ve had immense difficulty refactoring with agents. The old code usage patterns are like a siren song for the agent. If you don’t check, you refactoring task MIGHT end up;
Instead of
A => B
Doing
A => A+B
That is: agents think nothing of keeping the legacy code around for all sorts of reasons: fallbacks, shims, bridges, legacy…
Even when you’re very explicit
I’ve been through this cycle seven times in one project and I just could not get rid of the legacy code
My final solution was a “delete first” approach
If you delete the legacy code first and ask it to re-implement the same contract / passing tests with the new code, it can’t rely on the old code.
It’s the only way I’ve been able to get it to reliably removal references to the old code.

Now you can deterministically create diagrams of @EffectTS_ codebases
I never liked "use strict" back when I had to teach people to add it. The reasons from all sides for and against are good, but I still prefer writing without directives.
Here's a deep dive into why "𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚔𝚏𝚕𝚘𝚠" uses directives and why it's the best choice for the framework

I've been working with AI SDK and still bought this course. Why? To support @mattpocockuk for the great content he continues to create and no doubt I'll learn a thing or two
3/ Key benefits:
✅ Drop-in replacement
✅ Guaranteed complete responses
✅ Same API as standard AI SDK
✅ Works with any Ollama model
