90 DAYS WITHOUT POWER, RANKED You are not leaving. The roof is fine. The grid is just gone. No power, no water pressure, no store deliveries, for 90 days. In each category we will go from most important to least important. The categories are ranked too. The roof is covered, so water comes first, then food, then everything that keeps those two usable. 90 days is what you should be prepared for. Most official lists say 3 to 14 days. Those are minimums, not plans. WATER Without it you have days. One gallon per person per day. 90 days is 90 gallons per person. A family of 4 needs 360. Water filter (a gravity filter is the best buy) Food grade barrels or water bricks Unscented bleach to treat stored water Your water heater tank holds 40 to 50 gallons. Know how to drain it. Rain collection (check local rules) FOOD Rice and beans are the backbone. If you cannot afford freeze dried meals, load up on rice and beans. Rice has about 1,650 calories per pound. Dry beans about 1,570. 2,000 calories a day for 90 days is about 110 pounds per person, or four 5 gallon buckets. Cooking oil, salt, sugar, spices Peanut butter Canned meat and vegetables Powdered milk Multivitamins Freeze dried meals if you can afford them Eat the fridge first, then the freezer, then the pantry. COOKING AND FUEL Food you cannot cook is just weight. Camp stove plus fuel for 90 days Extra propane or butane Lighters and matches One pot with a lid Never run a stove or heater indoors without ventilation. HEAT Cold is the quiet killer. Wood stove or a safe indoor rated heater Fuel for it Wool blankets and sleeping bags rated below your coldest night Pick one room, close it off, and live in it Carbon monoxide detector with batteries. Not optional. SANITATION This is what ends up killing people in long outages. 5 gallon bucket with a toilet seat lid Heavy trash bags Kitty litter or sawdust Bleach Soap and hand sanitizer Toilet paper, a lot of it MEDICAL Prescriptions. Ask your doctor about a longer supply. First aid kit Pain and stomach relief Any glasses or contacts, plus a spare pair A printed first aid manual LIGHT AND POWER Headlamps and lanterns Batteries, rotated Solar panel with a power bank A generator is a bonus, not a plan. Fuel goes bad and it is loud. INFORMATION, CASH AND NEIGHBORS Cards stop working when the power does. Battery or crank radio Cash in small bills, silver and gold if you have it Paper copies of IDs and contacts Know your neighbors. Trade skills, not just supplies. MORALE Books, cards, games, something for the kids. Boring beats hungry. Bored beats panicked. THE FIRST 72 HOURS Fill the bathtub and every container you own before the water stops. Fridge and freezer stay shut. A full freezer holds about 48 hours. Charge everything while you still can. Cook and eat what will spoil first. Obviously we could add security and it is important but depending on where you are, what your aloud to have/own I'm not going into great detail on that. What I can say is have a plan, talk it over with your family, everyone has a job. Don't be afraid to talk to your neighbors you know as well to make sure they are doing their part if you plan on working together. Feel free to add anything I may have missed. Anything you may think would be of added value for others to read and share. Book mark this, come back to it, create a check list. To be clear, I am not a survivalist. This is not survival advice. This is only my setup that I am following with my family. If nothing else maybe just a reminder. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

Ripple receives final OCC approval for its national trust bank. Yesterday the OCC gave Ripple National Trust Bank its final approval. I'm sharing it because I keep seeing it posted as "full US regulatory approval," and the real version is more interesting. THE TIMELINE December 2025: conditional approval. October 26, 2026: final approval. About ten months to finish the chartering process. WHAT IT CAN DO Manage the segregated reserves backing RLUSD. Act as collateral trustee for RLUSD holders. Provide fiduciary digital asset custody. Per Ripple's own release, it begins operations after approval. It is not open yet. WHAT IT IS NOT It is not an RLUSD issuer. Standard Custody & Trust Company, the NYDFS regulated entity, keeps issuing it. It is not a deposit bank. Per the OCC, most national trust banks do not take deposits or make loans, and most do not carry FDIC insurance. I found no mention of a Fed master account in the release or the coverage. WHY IT STILL MATTERS A federal supervisor now oversees the reserves behind a stablecoin and the custody of the assets. For banks and institutions deciding who to trust, that counts. THE CATCH This is an RLUSD and custody story. None of the coverage I read ties it to XRP demand directly. Real infrastructure and token demand are two separate questions. We have seen this with GTreasury and DTCC too. So it is a real receipt. It is just not the receipt the headline is selling if you come across it. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

THE TIMELINE JUST GOT SHORTER Pentagon documents describe a new requirement. Every major military base in the continental United States must be able to run for at least 90 days on its own. Power. Water. Fuel. Communications. No outside help. That comes from documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, and the program has a name: FORTRESS America. 90 days. Now picture day one of that for everyone who does not live on a base. 3 a.m. The refrigerator goes quiet. The router light is dead. Your phone is at 40 percent and the bars are gone. The base keeps its lights on. You do not. Some of you called my last post fear mongering. That was a scenario about a bank freezing you out. This one is not my scenario. It's the Pentagon's. The result is the same either way. If the power is out, the app will not load, the card will not tap and the ATM will not pay. Money you cannot reach is money you do not have. THE RECEIPTS On September 30 Secretary Hegseth announced FORTRESS: Federal Operations for Resilience, Troop Resources, Energy, Supply and Survivability. His line: every major installation will generate its own power, independent of the civilian grid. The plan reportedly includes portable reactors, large batteries and microgrids that can cut off from the grid. A program office is being set up. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell: "Power is combat now." He called reliance on civilian infrastructure an "intolerable risk" and said the next conflict will likely hit multiple fronts and break global supply chains. THE WAR IN THE BACKGROUND The US and Israel began striking Iran on February 28. In March CENTCOM planned for at least 100 days. The president had said four to five weeks. By August 28 it had passed six months, the ceasefire had collapsed, and Hormuz, which carried about 20 percent of the world's oil and gas before the war, was still disrupted. Plans get outrun. THE GAP Bases: 90 days. Civilians: the UK, EU and Finland say 72 hours. Sweden and Norway say a week. Ireland is mailing booklets to 2.2 million homes. The UK's own survey found only 13 percent of households say they are largely or fully prepared. Governments say three days. The Pentagon plans for ninety. Nobody has told civilians to prepare for ninety. OUR OWN GOVERNMENT HASEN'T TOLD US SHIT. LET THAT SINK IN. WHAT FAILS FIRST April 28, 2025. Spain and Portugal lose power. About 50 million people. ATMs and card terminals go dark and shops go cash only. Full recovery takes about 16 hours. The US grid is straining under data center demand. NERC issued a rare Level 3 alert on those loads in May. Texas in 2021: millions without power for days and more than 200 deaths. THE FAIR COUNTERPOINT The Pentagon calls FORTRESS an insurance policy, not a prediction. Militaries plan for worst cases. Nothing says the grid goes down this week. But when the people running the most powerful military on earth stop trusting the civilian grid for 90 days, I pay attention. THE WARNING Look at the pattern. A bank freeze. A grid failure. A cyberattack. A war that outran its plan. Different doors, same room. Payments, water, groceries and communication all sit on electricity and a handful of systems never designed to fail together. The Pentagon is building for the day they do. Governments are mailing booklets. Nobody is telling you to panic. They are signaling to be ready. I do not know the date and I could be wrong. But when the people responsible for national defense decide they cannot count on the grid for ninety days, the rest of us should not assume it will always be there. Prepare while the shelves are full and the lights are on. I am working on the bug out kit and preparedness post and should have it tomorrow for anyone interested. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

THE WEEK AHEAD: WHAT CRYPTO NEEDS FROM EACH DAY Over 500 companies worth $2 billion or more report earnings. Three central banks decide. The UK Budget lands. DTCC is due to launch. Here is the week by day, and what bulls need to see. MONDAY OCT 26 $69 billion 2 year Treasury auction, 1pm ET. Bulls want: solid demand and no ugly tail. Weak demand means higher yields, and higher yields hurt crypto. TUESDAY OCT 27 Fed meeting day one. Expect a quiet tape. 10am ET: September New Home Sales. Last print was 684,000, up 6.4%. Bulls want: steady sales with no spike. A hot print strengthens the December hike case, and a collapse feeds recession fears. WEDNESDAY OCT 28 This is the big day. UK Budget. The 30 year gilt has been sitting above 6%. Bulls want: a credible plan that calms gilts. A borrowing surprise can spill into Treasuries. 2pm ET: Fed decision, then the Warsh press conference. The Fed hiked in September, its first hike since 2023, to 3.75% to 4%. CME FedWatch shows about 9% odds of a hike now and about 84% for December. Bulls want: a hold with no firm December promise. Bears: a surprise hike, or a locked in December. After the close: Microsoft and Alphabet earnings. Bulls want: strong cloud growth and AI spending that still pays. Crypto has been trading with tech lately. THURSDAY OCT 29 The heaviest day. ECB decision, 2:15pm Frankfurt time. Bulls want: no hawkish surprise. Central banks restarting hikes is a liquidity squeeze. 8:30am ET: Q3 GDP and September PCE. The Atlanta Fed tracker shows about 3.5% growth. Forecasts have core PCE at 3.1% year over year, up from 3.0%. Bulls want: solid growth with core PCE at or below forecast. A hot core print locks in December. After the close: Amazon and Intel earnings. Bulls want: AWS strength and proof AI demand is still there. FRIDAY OCT 30 Bank of Japan decision. It hiked to 1.25% in September, the highest since 1995, on a 7 to 2 vote. Bulls want: a hold. A surprise hike risks a yen carry unwind, which is what hit crypto in August 2024. Also Friday: Q3 Employment Cost Index, Chicago PMI, and monthly crypto options expiry. Bulls want: wage growth that does not reignite inflation fears. DTCC Its tokenization service has been in limited production since July 15. The full launch is slated for October. I found no confirmed go live date, so watch for it this week. Bulls want: big names, real volume and the chains named at launch. Reports say Canton and a private Besu network at launch, with Stellar in 2027. THE WEEK AFTER Nov 3: US midterms. Nov 5: Bank of England. MY SCORECARD I want three things: a Fed hold with no hawkish surprise, core PCE no hotter than forecast, and a BOJ hold. If two of those three fail, I stay defensive. ๐Ÿ›ก

THE GREAT FINANCIAL RESET IS HERE Not a theory. A pattern. Four of the biggest government bond markets on earth are cracking at the same time, banks are being hit by AI agents, and the rails under money are being rebuilt with off switches. FRANCE The 10 year yield is near 5%. France now pays more to borrow than Italy and Greece. Its spread over Germany hit about 150 basis points, the widest since the euro debt crisis. Last weekend riots over the cost of living hit its bonds again. The deficit is 5.4% of GDP. UNITED KINGDOM The 30 year gilt yield topped 6% for the first time since 1998. The 10 year hit 5.5%, the highest since 2007. That is above the 2022 Truss meltdown. The Budget lands October 28. JAPAN The 10 year yield hit 3% in September, the first time since 1996. The US and Japan bought yen together on July 31, the first time since 1998, and the yen kept sliding. Debt is about twice the size of the economy. Tokyo wants a record 36.6 trillion yen for debt service. UNITED STATES Debt passed $40 trillion in August. The 2026 deficit was $1.99 trillion. Interest runs above $1 trillion a year. The 30 year yield has traded between about 5.4% and 5.7% this month, the highest in about two decades. THE WORLD The IMF says global public debt was 94% of GDP in 2025 and is heading toward 100% by 2029. It has called that level the highest since 1948. Governments will sell about $29 trillion of bonds this year. Long yields in the US, UK, Japan and Europe all hit multi decade highs in early October. THE BANKS ARE BEING HIT From late September, at least nine South Korean banks were hit. CrowdStrike says the attacker likely used an AI penetration agent plus Claude Code and other models. Shinhan says 25,000 customers were exposed. On October 19 Reuters reported another hacker used AI agents to break into 100+ company websites at about $50 each. The Fed, OCC and FDIC are now asking banks whether they can shut off their own AI agents. The ECB wants AI attack plans by October 31. This week PHP flaws forced MUFG to pause online services. On October 20 a Google Cloud failure knocked out Revolut, with Lloyds and HSBC also hit. WHAT HISTORY SAYS 1933: Americans were ordered to hand in their gold. 1971: Nixon closed the gold window after a secret weekend at Camp David, with no warning. After 1945, governments shrank debt by holding rates below inflation. Savers paid. Resets come when debt cannot be paid, cannot be inflated away fast enough, and cannot be defaulted on openly. Every exit costs the person holding cash. THE NEW RAILS The GENIUS Act takes effect January 18, 2027 and requires stablecoin issuers to be able to freeze, seize or burn coins. DTCC's tokenized securities carry pause and clawback controls. Tether says it has frozen more than $4.4 billion. I hold XRP because it cannot be frozen provided it's not on an exchange. THE FAIR COUNTERPOINT Nothing has broken "yet." A better word is "breaking" Markets are orderly, and some firms are buying bonds on the dip. That is the point. The pressure is building in all four at once. WHAT I'M DOING I do not predict a date. I hold things nobody can freeze, keep cash I can reach even though it may become worthless. Silver, gold on hand, and a bug out kit. I can do a detailed bug out kit breakdown if you want it in another post. Watch three numbers: the French spread, the UK 30 year, and the Japanese 10 year. I could be wrong, but my father has always told me "It's better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it." Simple prepping can go a long way in the event of a crisis. Unless a nuke drops on your head then well, your f**ked anyway. This post is not to scare you, it's to prepare you. It's to make you think about everything you have in storage and maybe add a few things you haven't gotten around to yet. The 6 P's of life Proper. Planning. Prevents. Piss. Poor. Performance. Am I getting warmer?
It starts on a Friday morning at 3 a.m. Nobody is awake to see it. Phones sit charging on nightstands. Then the early shift wakes up, someone opens a banking app to check a paycheck, and the balance says zero. They refresh. Zero. They try another app. Zero. By 5 a.m. ๐• lighting up. By 6 a.m. debit cards are declining at gas stations, ATMs are dark, and every account in America is frozen. This has happened before. Roosevelt had been in office about 36 hours when he closed every bank in the country at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 1933. For about a week, customers could not withdraw, transfer, or deposit money. Banks in 37 states had already closed or restricted withdrawals days before. Banks were sorted into solvent and insolvent, and around 4,000 never reopened. By noon the story is set. A massive cyberattack. Powered by AI. No politician to blame, no bank to blame, just a faceless enemy that moved faster than anyone could respond. This is the story regulators are already preparing for. Today Reuters reported that the Fed, the OCC and the FDIC are questioning banks about autonomous AI agents and how they would shut them down. The ECB set an end of October deadline for banks to show plans against AI driven attacks. UK supervisors are urging the largest banks to examine "bare metal" recovery systems that run independently of their main infrastructure. The IMF warned against complacency and said a major attack on a critical institution could undermine confidence. One consultant quoted said a serious attack could lock customers out of their accounts and disrupt payments across the economy. Look at what has already hit banks this year. In February the French government confirmed hackers got into its national bank account registry and exposed 1.2 million accounts. In July a ransomware group claimed a Deutsche Bank breach. The bank says the incident was at a third party provider and it has no evidence its own network was touched, so treat that claim as unverified. On October 8 CrowdStrike said a China based attacker likely used AI agents to hit South Korean banks. I want to be clear. None of these froze anyone's money. They were data breaches and warnings. I am using them to show the direction, not to claim the freeze has started. By Sunday night the lines are around the block. Nobody can buy groceries, pay rent, or fill a tank. Everyone is waiting for someone to say something. Then someone steps up to a podium. It could be Trump. It could be someone else. They say your money is safe. Every dollar will be returned. And here is the new way you will get it. In USDC or USDT. The road is already paved. The GENIUS Act created the federal framework for dollar stablecoins, and the issuers are already operating inside it. And these coins are not like cash in your hand. Issuers like Tether and Circle can freeze balances at specific addresses and have done it before. Now picture the person with $10,000 in that account. Or $50,000. Or $100,000. They have been locked out for two weeks. The mortgage is due. The kids need food. The offer on the table is to get every dollar back today, just in a different form. Will they say no? That is the trick. Nobody is forced. You just walk through the only door that is open. A month later most of the money has moved. Once it lives in the new system, it does not come back to the old one. I want to say this clearly. This is my theory. It is how I feel it plays out, and I could be wrong about the trigger, the timing, and who plays the hero. I am not predicting a date. The receipts show a risk that is real and growing. The rest is me connecting dots. What I am sure of is this. If you cannot hold the keys, someone else decides whether you can see your balance. That is why I audit this stuff. I would rather be early than locked out. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

THE INTERNET BROKE, IN LAYMAN'S TERMS This week Japan's Prime Minister told companies to pull websites if they could not fix them in time, and a major hosting platform paused every deployment. That does not happen over nothing. I checked the viral lists claim by claim. Here is what holds up. THE BIG ONE: PHP PHP is behind the scenes code that runs roughly 70% of sites that publish what they run on. WordPress is built on it. On October 21 PHP fixed two flaws nicknamed php2shell. A stranger with no password could make a vulnerable website's server run their commands. Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi asked organizations to patch the moment the fix dropped or pause services. Japan's Finance and Health ministries pulled some content, MUFG paused some online services, and JR West suspended about 60 sites. The EU's CERT-EU said sites that could not patch should go dark. This is a server problem. There is nothing to install on your phone. Site owners need PHP 8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 or 8.2.35. THE ONE THAT HITS CRYPTO: RAILWAY Developers run apps and bots on Railway and store passwords and API keys there. On October 21 Railway said an unauthorized party may have accessed those and, for some, got the decrypted contents. It paused all deployments and told every customer to rotate every key. It says impact may be limited to a subset of users but has not said how many. Days earlier OpenCode, an AI coding tool, exposed stored OpenAI, Anthropic and Google keys for about 1.4% of its Console users. Some saw charges up to $1,700. Same pattern. Your keys sit on someone else's server. If a trading bot, copy trading tool or dashboard holds exchange API keys or wallet keys for you, I cannot tell you which ones run on Railway. Ask them, or assume yes. Revoke exchange API keys you do not need, and move funds out of custodial bot wallets you do not use. PATCHING DOES NOT UNDO A BREAK-IN A fix closes the door. It does not tell you whether someone already walked through. Attackers who got in early can leave backdoors, and stolen data stays stolen. Many companies will struggle to check properly. Expect to hear that your data was encrypted. That does not mean it was safe. Railway said the variables were encrypted, and attackers may still have gotten decrypted contents. If an attacker reaches the system that can decrypt, encryption does not help. Do not assume every account you own was hacked. But expect fake security warnings to ramp up, and expect stolen logins to be tried on hundreds of other sites automatically. OTHER VERIFIED STORIES eMudhra: the keys behind eight website certificates were so weak one was the number 4. Browsers blocked them within days. No confirmed abuse. Reuters reported a hacker used AI agents, reportedly built on Claude Code and DeepSeek, to hit 100+ companies including Deere and Cummins at about $50 each. VIRAL CLAIMS I COULD NOT CONFIRM 1.5 million vulnerable PHP sites. Wikipedia and ports going dark. A new LiteLLM poisoning, since the only one I found was March. A GitLab flaw since 2014, since the perfect score one was patched October 12. SBI "confirmed" 3,897 records, when I found an unconfirmed claim of 375,000. WHAT YOU CAN DO Update your phone, computer and browser. Use a different password on every site, and an authenticator app instead of text codes. Start with your email. If a company says your password leaked, change it everywhere you used it or anything similar. Keep a separate email for money accounts. If a message tells you to reset a password, go to the site yourself instead of clicking. Use bookmarks for exchanges and wallets. If you run a website, update PHP today. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

SHOULD YOU BE HOLDING $FUZZY? I have never audited a meme coin on this channel. But this week @ScamDetective5 and @Vet_X0 got into a dispute with the FUZZY community. One post said hosts kicked people from a Space for asking questions. A community account replied that they were tired of the negativity. I cannot verify what happened in that room. But it got me thinking. It is not what you say. It is how you say it. Questions are the whole job. Tone is the whole difference. So let's break it down and look at FUZZY like any other normal token. WHAT IT IS FUZZY is an XRPL meme coin. Launched January 23, 2025. Named for FuzzyBear, the early account that put up a 2014 order of 1 XRP for 1 BTC. Supply is fixed at about 321 billion. No utility claim. Memes and community. THE GOOD The issuer is blackholed. The explorer flags the issuing account as permanently locked, with no usable keys. An account like that cannot mint, freeze or claw back. The cards. Pokemon style cards, paid for in XRP. Per community reports, Phase 1 was 333 whitelist bundles at 444 XRP each, followed by 589 bundles in Phase 2. Of course it was. Reported sales total roughly 280,000 to 300,000 XRP. Burn the digital NFT and a physical pack ships. Finally, an XRPL burn you can hold in your hand. The energy. The Spaces, the physical packs, and the riddles. The layered lore is half the fun. People show up because they want to. THE BAD It is a meme coin. Value is attention. No revenue, no cash flows. The top 100 holders own about 63%. The top 10 own about 18%. That may include the liquidity pool. The bear has friends. I could not verify the card sales from a primary source. Floor prices are not realized sales. THE UGLY Timing. FUZZY is up about 13% in a day. Market cap is near $28 million on full supply, and some sites show lower. I would not chase that. And a trust line from Ripple's David Schwartz is not a buy and not an endorsement. He said so himself. If it were, my wallet would be endorsing a lot of things I cannot explain. THE NUMBERS As of October 22, and they move hourly. About 11,500 holders. Price near $0.000086. About 743,000 XRP in the main pool. About 447,000 XRP traded in 24 hours. Several FUZZY lookalikes exist, so confirm the issuer is rhCAT4hRdi2Y9puNdkpMzxrdKa5wkppR62 before you buy. MY TAKE I could be wrong. But a blackholed issuer plus real XRP spent on real cards is a better setup than a lot of what I see. I checked this one, not the whole field. Better setup is not the same as safe. Size it like a meme coin. Not financial advice. We audit the plumbing, you decide. We do not hold FUZZY as of now. That does not make it any less important to the XRP ecosystem. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

THE GENIUS ACT RULES ARE FINAL. Sort of.... The headline version: the government finished writing the stablecoin rules. The real version: one regulator did. The OCC published its final rule this morning. The FDIC, the Fed and Treasury still have pieces to go. The rule and the law take effect January 18, 2027. Here is what is decided and what is not. REWARDS Stablecoin issuers still cannot pay you yield just for holding the coin. That part of the law did not change. What changed is how the OCC will police the workarounds. Its draft would have presumed certain reward deals between issuers and outside platforms were illegal. The final rule drops that presumption and says it will judge them case by case. It also gave older reward programs no free pass. Platforms advertise rewards of roughly 3.75% to 4.5% on stablecoins right now. Nothing turns those off on January 18. The risk is that terms change if a regulator objects to how the payments are funded. FREEZES This rule does not spell out freezing. The OCC says anti-money laundering and sanctions rules come in a separate rulemaking. One thing it does say: a coin restricted by law or court order stays a coin the issuer owes, backed by reserves held in separate accounts. Summaries of the Act I read say issuers must be able to block or freeze tokens when lawfully ordered. I did not find the mechanics. Those are still to come. INSURANCE Payment stablecoins are defined as not being deposits. As I read it, that means no deposit insurance for holders. TIMING The OCC is not taking applications yet. It is waiting on federal paperwork approval. Existing US issuers with a substantially complete application can ask for up to a year of relief. Issuing without approval after January 18 carries criminal penalties. Treasury has also proposed that platforms may only offer approved stablecoins starting July 18, 2028. That one is a proposal, not final. WHAT I TAKE FROM IT This is a real step toward clear rules. It is not the finish line. The two things that matter most to holders, who can be frozen and what happens to yield, are still being settled. If you hold stablecoins as cash or for yield, know that the yield can change and the coin can be frozen under lawful order. Know which part of your money sits on rails like that, and which part you hold the keys to. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก

Late October is when the 1929 crash happened. Black Thursday was October 24. Black Tuesday was October 29. This year the S&P 500 hit a record high on October 6. So I went back to look at what the real lesson of 1929 was. Most people remember the crash. I think they remember the wrong part. The crash of 1929 was not the worst of it. After the crash, Hoover told the country the economy was fundamentally sound. The real damage came later, when the banks started failing and there was no deposit insurance to catch anyone. A documentary I watched this week says we are heading back there. More debt than money, a system built on claims that cannot all be paid. I did not take its word for it. I went and checked what I could. Margin debt hit a record $1.5 trillion in June, up about 49% in a year. 41 AI related companies now make up close to half of the S&P 500. The government is spending $1.1 trillion a year on interest, more than triple what it paid a few years ago. And September added 29,000 jobs when roughly 90,000 were expected. Borrowed money in the market. One trade holding up the index. A record share of government income going to interest. A job market going soft. All at the same time. One fair point for the other side. Deposits are insured now and the Fed will lend to banks. Those are the two things that turned 1929 into a depression. But look at what that actually protects. Bank deposits. It does not cover crypto, and it does not cover a stablecoin balance the issuer can freeze. I think something breaks. I do not know when, and I could be wrong about how. I am not telling you what to buy. I am telling you the receipts keep stacking up in one direction. If it does break, know which part of your money has a safety net and which part only has you. DTCC IS PUTTING STOCKS ON A BLOCKCHAIN THIS MONTH. READ THE FINE PRINT. DTCC is the company under most US stock and Treasury settlement. Its subsidiaries processed $4.7 quadrillion in securities transactions last year, per DTCC. It says its tokenization service launches in October. No exact day has been given. On July 15, more than 30 firms ran live trades. J.P. Morgan turned the QQQ ETF into a token. It also posted tokenized assets to meet a CME margin requirement. SPY was tokenized too. That part is real. Here is the line I would not skip. DTCC's own service page says its tokens include mint, burn, pause and clawback controls. The token is designed to carry the same CUSIP and the same legal rights as the stock. DTC keeps the official books and records. So the token is a digital copy that DTC can pause or pull back. The SEC permission behind all of this is a three year no action letter. That is not sinister. A regulated depository has to fix errors and follow court orders. But it tells you what tokenized means in this system. Faster and programmable, yes. Bearer, no. Now the bull case, because it is real. DTCC's own list of working group firms includes Circle, Anchorage, BitGo, Fireblocks, Ondo, Payward (Kraken's parent) and Ripple Prime, next to the big banks and exchanges. DTCC also says the service is meant to interoperate across many chains. Per DTCC's overview as reported, Stellar and Circle's Arc join in 2027, and the roadmap points toward on chain settlement and digital cash. That is a real opening for stablecoins and crypto native rails. Ripple Custody added Canton support this month. That is Ripple building across chains. It does not mean Canton uses XRP or the XRP Ledger. Per the overview as reported, the launch itself is small. 25 securities, mostly large Russell 1000 stocks, ETFs and Treasuries. About $30 trillion eligible out of roughly $114 trillion in custody. Canton and DTCC's private Besu network first. The XRP Ledger is not on the launch list or the 2027 list I found. Here is what I take from it, and I could be wrong. Real infrastructure is arriving. That is not the same as demand for any one token. It is also not the same as owning something you control. Know which of your assets sit on rails that can pause or pull back, and which ones you hold the keys to. ISO Ledger ๐Ÿ›ก
