The absolutely awful @AthleticsSA_ @ComradesRace 2026 on the @SABCPortal SABC's @SABC_2, produced and broadcast by production company T+W, was utter TV Trash. Yet again, Nobody will be held accountable for the embarrassing, botched live broadcast mess on South African television.

The broadcasting of @ComradesRace has been so disappointing. The camera angles and live switching have been atrocious, the storytelling below par, two audio feeds playing at the same time and the commentary panel is just a Bruce Fordyce memoir with cliches.

Comrades feed is atrocious. Completely missed showing the battle for second. Winner came in and within a few minutes the new chap who took second came in. No video of the change. Live feed at the line is horrendous. Great run by Mbuti Mollo who came in 3rd 🇿🇦 ..2nd SAn home

If the goal of the Comrades Marathon organisers is to ruin the race and chase sponsors away, their live feed and coverage is doing just that. Absolute garbage. 🗑 🚮
Next year is the 100th anniversary if they pull this again, it will be a travesty.

The winner of the Comrades Marathon, George couldn't even be interviewed the sound is so bad. This is an absolute disgrace. Whoever got awarded the contract for the feed has embarrassed the entire country. Absolutely unacceptable.

The production manager of the #Comrades26 needs to run the whole route without road support. This is bad broadcasting across all levels. Feels like we are being punished for loving and following the race.

Would really like to know if @ComradesRace or @SABC_Sport or @SABCSportsLive received money payback to take this away from @SuperSportTV because this coverage is embarrassing rubbish & really poor. See the finish but so far away u can't see the faces of the finishers. What a joke
