Michael Beasley CRASHED OUT on Patrick Beverly and claimed that he’s the BETTER basketball player after Pat told him that he scored more points than him when they were on the same team 🤣🤣👀
“I was the leading scorer on your team”
“Time out… I was 17 on that team. You was supposed to get more minutes than me. Shut up… I was the number 1 player in the country… 37 years on this earth, there’s NEVER been a day when you can f*ck with me… You’re too short, and you’re too slow, and you’re too WEAK… You can have the best day ever, I can have the worst, and you’re gonna lose. You’ve never been Michael Beasley… I will BUST your a** n*gga.”

John Calipari during Arkansas’ practice:
“If you’re not a dog on this team, you won’t play. I feel bad for you; no one got promised anything. I’m playing the dogs, because if I put a bunch of dogs out there, we’re not losing.”

Mike Brown has been to seven NBA Finals with four different organizations.
He’s coached LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, Tim Duncan, Kevin Durant, and Jalen Brunson.
When asked what all championship teams have in common, his answer had nothing to do with those nuclear talents.
“The commonality they all had is they all sacrificed for one another.
They were all connected.
They all had a competitive spirit.
And there was a high level of belief... Not just in the process, but in each other.”
He was able to boil down years of success in different places to 4 common traits:
🩸 Sacrifice
🎮 Connectivity
⚠️ Ownership
✝️ Belief
Championship teams don't win solely because they have the best player.
They create a championship environment from ownership starting with the best player all the way to the last player on the bench.
The entire organization is willing to surrender something for something bigger than themselves.
You need good players, yes...
But talent only determines your ceiling.
Sacrifice determines your capacity to reach it.

Kids leaving High School practice early to go to AAU practice in June is a bit different to me. AAU for high schoolers should be on pause for the month of June. If you don't take high school serious then don't expect high school to take you serious.

Breaking: Ja Morant has been suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the team.
The suspension comes as a result of Grizzlies coach Tuomas Iisalo challenging Morant's leadership and effort in a postgame exchange after Friday's loss to the Lakers — to which Morant responded in a tone deemed inappropriate, sources told @ShamsCharania.

Today, we got to check out the action at the @EMNRSchoolNYC as they had their open gym in the Pelham Bay section of The Bronx.
This year, the reigning @cssa_nyc state champions will be having a rebuild as they are under a new coach in @CoachJared_, who played high school 🏀 at @ctkroyals a decade ago & went on to play collegiate 🏀 at @liupostpioneers & @AdelphiMBB. In the last couple of seasons as the junior varsity coach for Earl Monroe, the squad went 90-11, including last season’s 36-1 campaign.
This year, there’s a lot of new personnel on the squad, as there are plenty of juniors, including transfers from several schools, including the defending CHSAA B city & Catholic state champions, Sacred Heart in Yonkers & also Mount St. Michael.
Also, this season, they plan on playing against schools in the NYSAIS & also some other schools in the tri-state area.
As for the school, this will be their final year at their current location at the old Our Lady of Assumption School site on Parkview Avenue, as they will be moving to their brand-new location next September in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx on 153rd Street & Elton Avenue.
Special thanks to @CoachJared_ & the rest of the staff at @EarlMonroe_BB for having us at their open gym. We look forward to seeing the squad this coming season.

We'd like to welcome all coaches and media to our open gym starting this week!
Still need this
Marc’s a good guy.
@marclamonthill’s bookstore in Philly is AWESOME.
I’ve been a long time supporter and he’s always given me good perspective in our talks.
I’d love for that sit down on @JoeBudden’s show to be about the racist practice of gun control in America. It would be INSANE.
Id also want my guy @QueenzFlip to DEFINITELY be there for pushback.
He’s another good guy who has always given me his platform when others were afraid to.
Both of these guys are not afraid of difficult conversations our communities need to have.
