For all my #mc1313 students: extremely proud of the work you put in for Story 6. Today’s tweet from the @APStylebook touches on an important consideration we have to make as storytellers. I hope you all leave #mc1313 with a bit of pride and excitement in your future profession!
New chapter: Being an inclusive storyteller calls on all of us to stretch beyond our accustomed ways of thinking, our usual sources, our regular, go-to topics or angles for coverage. It challenges us to recognize and examine our unconscious biases and find ways to overcome them.

Journalists, like all humans, make mistakes. But it’s what they do about those mistakes that affect their credibility. For #SPJEthicsWeek, @spjtxst President @MadelynWeirich discusses how journalists should respond when reporting mistakes are made. bit.ly/3LGVMZs
So important to remember. Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate!
