But what if I buy goods worth more than Β£135 in total, and **still** pay German VAT in the price I paid? The German website doesnβt suddenly drop their VAT when my basket goes above the equivalent of Β£135...

@HMRCcustomers Hi, when importing online orders from the EU, Iβm aware you have the published exchange rates. I placed an order last week, for just under Β£135 (i.e. to avoid duty) at Marchβs rate for Euros. .... (1 of 2)
It occurred to me to ask happens if it doesnβt get sent for a few more days, and if Aprilβs exchange rate made the value just over Β£135?
Are the order date/dispatch date taken into account for this scenario? (2 of 2)
