🟤Carmel Catholic (3-6) is the #18 seed in 6A North and will make a trip to Hanson Stadium to face Bulls Prep. Even more than most CCL teams, the talented Corsairs have faced several of the state’s best individual players and a slew of high-octane offenses. They’ll have another one (Geneva) on deck if they can beat the Bulls, and Carmel will be ready for the challenge.
🏈Scoring averages: Offense 22.1 / Defense 25.1
👀A duo to watch: Juniors Jameer Miles & Kristian Chadick form a terrifying combo against both the pass and run
🔴Behind Enemy Lines: Chicago Bulls College Prep
The Bulls (4-5) meet a CCL opponent for the first time since 2022, when the Corsairs beat them 45-0 in the first round of the playoffs. It’s the fifth playoff appearance in the school’s brief history, and they’re looking for their first win.
🗓️Schedule: Medium, but balanced - 42 opponents’ wins, 0 ranked teams, 2 receiving votes. All 9 opponents are playoff qualifiers.
🏈Scoring averages: Offense 22.9 / Defense 20.2
🏆Best win: Week 6 at Lincoln Park, 30-10
👀One player to watch: Senior WR Karion Young will need every bit of his speed and elusiveness against a hard-hitting Carmel defense

Our CCL Preseason RB Watchlist is led by St. Rita senior Brandon Johnson Jr. (1,184 rush yd/20 TD in '25). @BrandonJ2027
He's joined by the Caravan's Nathan Samuels (1200+ all-purpose yards), Nazareth's Charles Calhoun (136 yd in state semifinal), Loyola's explosive and physical Jayden Garrett, and lightning-fast junior Jaquel Edmonds of Carmel Catholic atop a talented group of backs.
Of course, there's WAY too much talent in the CCL to fit on one graphic...who else are you keeping an eye on this season?
