Inflation is how we ended up in a world where you can make more money than your parents and afford less.
We’ve never been better at producing things. Yet somehow, buying a home, raising a family, and saving for the future have become harder.
Something is broken.
The great hardware wallet hardening process is underway.
These events have hurt real people who lost their life savings, but it is not in vain. They are also forcing every self-custody wallet company to tighten systems, run deeper reviews and audits, and ask harder questions internally.
More AI systems are being reinforced and put to work on code checks and threat modelling in ways they never were before. Not only inside the companies, but also by independent researchers and the wider community as well.
You might not feel it right now, but self-custody is currently accelerating faster than any other part of this space. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Who benefits from the Coldcard hack?
The Financial Industrial Complex does.
We took a hit.
We mourn the loss of those affected.
We come back stronger.
If we don’t self-custody and run nodes, we end up with BlackRockCoin in a Coinbase collateralised debt obligation.
Reports are coming in that some Coldcard hardware wallet users are having their bitcoin drained. Multiple known Bitcoiners are confirmed affected.
@KLoaec’s working hypothesis is a low-entropy RNG issue, possibly in the secure element, with an attacker using AI to bruteforce and sweep only bip84 (segwit) paths, which would explain the partial thefts.
Root cause is still unconfirmed. Could be RNG, nonce reuse, or something else entirely.
If you use a Coldcard single-sig setup, check your balances now. If affected, email Coinkite with proof you control the keys.

The US national debt just crossed 39.6 trillion dollars. Write it out: 39,663,000,000,000.
Nobody voted for that number. No election approved it. It grows while you sleep, funded by a printer that quietly turns your savings into their spending.
This is the tax that never lands on a ballot. Your paycheck buys a little less each year, and the people running the press keep their jobs the whole time.
Bitcoin was built for exactly this. A supply capped at 21 million, enforced by every node, changeable by no committee and no emergency.
One of these systems asks you to trust that they'll behave. The other doesn't ask you to trust anyone at all.

Stop treating housekeeping like a punishment. Put on music, light the candles, burn the incense, and romanticize it. You’re not cleaning the house… you’re restoring order to your little kingdom.

Major life hack: Don't complain, ever. Nobody likes a complainer. They drain the energy of everyone around them. It's exhausting spending time around someone who constantly complains about things outside their control. If it's within your control, go do something about it. If it's not, you're just wasting energy thinking about it. Complaining gives too much power to the thing. Take back that power.

Reading #Bitcoin books is great, but to succeed you need to take action
- Learn self-custody 🔐
- Run a node 💻
- Manage your UTXOs 🔂
- Setup an inheritance plan 📜
- Train your whole family 👨👩👧
Bitcoin can only help you if you're willing to help yourself

Buying #Bitcoin to end up with more dollars is like buying laptops to acquire more typewriters
It isn't an investment, it's an upgrade
Big difference

Fiat is a hallucination we were all born into; Bitcoin is the cold water that wakes us up. The 'pain' is just the sound of our brain deleting the inflation lies we were taught in school. Welcome to the exit ramp.

They want you to own nothing and be happy.
Instead own Bitcoin in self custody.

My new way to stack sats?
Just found out my backyard compost pit is basically a biological gold mine.
For years I thought I was just throwing in kitchen scraps, chicken manure, grass clippings, leaves, old logs, and building rich soil.
Nope.
Apparently I have been running an underground worm empire
Warm all winter
Moist,
All you can eat buffet
Prime real estate at the edge of the woods.
These worms are not surviving
They are THRIVING
At this point I might be sitting on a wriggling retirement plan
Garden gold for me.
Bait shop inventory for fishermen.
Luxury underground condos for premium earthworm clientele.
Imagine explaining this to someone:
“Yeah, I am vertically integrated now.
Soil production, compost operation, and live worm harvesting.”
I did not build a compost pit.
I accidentally opened a worm hole🕳️ into prosperity
the thing nobody tells you about self-hosting is how quickly it becomes a lifestyle. you start with one thing like maybe photos, maybe bitcoin node, maybe a media server and three weeks later you're running a password manager, a notes app, DNS-level ad blocking, and an openclaw instance and you genuinely can't remember how you functioned before

BREAKING: If you travel with crypto, read this!
There are now several so called 1st world places where you can be legally forced to hand over your phone or hardware wallet and be made to unlock everything, including your wallet app.
So what do you do in that situation?
That’s exactly the kind of scenario we build for.
Few years ago, we’ve seen cases where people were forced to open their wallet apps at airports or at police stations.
To deal with this, we built Unstoppable duress mode.
- It lets you set up multiple unlock PINs. Each PIN opens a selected set of wallets. Only one master PIN opens everything.
- Undetectable inside the app - no way to know if it’s enabled
• unlimited number of PINs
Stay Safe!
BEWARE TRAVELING TO 🇭🇰 HONG KONG WITH BITCOIN HARDWARE WALLETS
Hong Kong has updated enforcement rules under the National Security Law as of March 23, 2026.
Refusing to provide passwords or decryption assistance to police is now a criminal offense, covering ALL personal devices including phones, laptops, and likely hardware wallets.
The rule applies to everyone in Hong Kong, including US citizens, even if only transiting through the airport.
Authorities also have expanded powers to seize and retain devices they claim are linked to national security investigations.
Travelers are advised to understand the risks before entering or transiting through the region.
