I was in NYC a few weeks ago for 3 reasons:
1. Attend The Post Annual Summit.
2. Meet and spend an afternoon with a top VC Firm to explore a recruiting partnership.
3. Meet a Senior Director of Engineering in person I placed last month.
As a new entrepreneur - this was gold..
@SahilBloom shared a great point on the "Surface Area of Luck."
He explained that your habits place you in situations where you're more likely to encounter luck. The more effort you put out into the world, the more you increase your chances of appearing lucky.
I am 100% "lucky" to be in the Post AND to be building @nxtplaysearch.

Met a CFO of ~$20M ARR PE backed SaaS company last week to talk about a potential partnership for this search.
They shared something that I 100% agree with
(2/2) "I care more about the individual working on the search vs the name of the firm. I want to be confident we made the right choice in a partnership."
