One of the contributing factors in the GOP wipeout this election is the feeling among Americans that the GOP has done nothing to reverse the foreign invasion. Now we have the data to prove their feelings are justified.
Foreign-born workers soar by 809K in October, the biggest monthly increase since Jan 2025 Native-born workers dropped by 64K

We have the most cracked, skilled dudes in the world sitting on the sidelines. The one thing we can't overcome is being starved of resources and opportunity. Now is the chance to rip the GOPs face off for losing so badly and to finally step aside and put us in the game.
One of the things the data analysts on our side obsessed over was "composition"—whether the electorate looked close enough to 2024 for Republicans to win. And despite polls that showed a Democrat blowout, the data kept on telling us the same story: in some states turnout was merely OK, in other states it was downright amazing, and in no state was it catastrophic. There was a genuine sense of optimism on our team: our people were showing up. So, I asked the smartest data guy I know, does that mean we're going to shock the world? "No," he told me. "We might do better than the polls suggest. But the data is telling us that a lot of Trump/Vance 2024 voters are pissed and planning to vote for the other guys. Our voters are turning out, but they may not vote for us." Well, that looks prophetic now. Our voters did show up. In Florida, for example, the electorate was 9 points more Republican than Democrat, just a couple points worse than 2024. Undoubtedly there were places we could have done better on turnout. But the main problem is not turnout. The main problem is that many people who voted for Trump/Vance in 2024 voted for Democrats in 2026. There will be a lot of infighting and arguing over what happened and why that is. One of the pollsters I really respect told me that our economic messaging wasn’t sharp enough down the stretch. I’m sure that’s true. But the real reason we lost is obvious to almost everyone. Another pollster—one of the smartest people I know in politics, told me yesterday we’d lose the generic ballot by 13 points. I felt negative going into Tuesday, but even I was shocked by this. In his polling, he saw that a lot of Trump 2024 voters were angry and planning to vote for Democrats. He asked those voters who had abandoned us what would cause them to come back on our team. The top four answers, accounting for nearly all of the responses were: 1) End the war 2) Focus on cost of living/inflation 3) Put America First 4) Change our relationship to Israel Our voters showed up. And the above four reasons are why many of them voted for Democrats. This is according to a pollster who nailed the results. While many spent Monday attacking Rachel Campos Duffy for calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict, it turns out her political advice was sound. (She’s also a great person.) In the next few months, there's going to be a lot of gaslighting. Expect to hear any number of establishment politicians say the solution to our woes is amnesty. I'm open to the idea that we should change enforcement—by focusing more on businesses that hire illegal labor, for instance. But anyone pushing amnesty is lying to you. The reason we lost is the war. The president himself said so last night. If you'd like to argue it was worth it, that losing the Senate for the next 6 years was worth it, then do so. Argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay. Agree or disagree, that's at least honest. But everyone knows why we lost. And any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there. I remain hopeful about our country. To the people who are pissed off and want to say, “I told you so”: you’re right, you did tell us so. Take that energy into electing Republicans who share your worldview. To the people who are just pissed at the results, you should be. Let’s take that anger and get back to the work of saving our country.

Victory! To the people of #TX32: THANK YOU for putting your trust in me to be your next Congressman! Ours was one of only a handful of Republican pickups on a tough night across the country. That is a testament to the dedication and the incredibly hard work our volunteers and supporters put in on this campaign. My mission in Washington is to continue to earn your trust and make you proud. This victory belongs to you! Yours in the fight, Jace.

Do you smell that, gents? That's opportunity. The GOP really believed 30 texts a day, declaring enemies on the right, AF isolation, and hunter-killer missions against anyone who questioned Israel, Iran and the rest was how you win. The old guard will sprint to the center to win back what was lost and lock in modest gains down the road. It won't work, not with the methods they used this cycle. That's where we step in. We can bring leverage back to the GOP and do the hard work of rescuing the indefinite pessimists from their sin of inaction. We're the only ones with the time, energy and agency to do it. So we should be the loudest voices for a positive vision of what that looks like, and the ones who frame the legacy of the men who led us here.
You're going to see all sorts of big-brained takes from politco dorks about tonight for the next several weeks, but it's very simple: we started another pointless war with Iran on behalf of Israel, the economy in unbearable for normal people, there have been no mass deportations + Walmart still look like Mumbai, and the GOP ran a bunch of minorities and women instead of White men. This isn't rocket science.

I'm starting a new account for the reverse pitch competition for America-loving VCs: @buildflyover. Give us a follow for unbridled patriotism, reindustrialization, American dominance...and why we don’t need to import millions of people to do shit we already do better, because we’re Americans.
Ben Franklin got struck by lightning on purpose. Maybe you’ve heard the story before of how an American tradesman without a college degree combined a simple kite and a key to tame lightning. Franklin conducted his experiment in 1752, at a time when electricity was not fully understood. Scientists and academics in Europe were studying static electricity, and the hypothesis circulated that lightning might also be a form of electricity. But none of them dared to go outside and goad the forces of nature. It took an AMERICAN to do it. For his unorthodox field experiment, the Royal Society in London awarded Franklin a medal in 1754. The study of electricity wasn’t broken open by a Parisian salon or an Oxford academic, but by a self-employed printer from Philadelphia who braved the storm. Americans have been on the forefront of hard tech since before we called ourselves “Americans.” We’re going to stay there. Build American.

I'm increasingly convinced the now standard tech / founder riff on "my laptop is open at home with swarm of agents doing tasks in background" is primarily memetic. Not even that they are doing the thing, or desire to do the thing, but that they desire to be perceived as someone who is doing the thing, someone using all the latest tools, someone who has ascended. Beyond coding tasks and low yield automated cold outbound, any basic probing on why or what tasks are actually being automated tend to lead to various vague and meandering responses (with some notable exceptions). Mostly, it seems, it's narrative, and tinkering around the edges while the VC-subsidized token paradigm holds up.

I stand with @RepKeithSelf! Grateful to the FBI and law enforcement for their work in thwarting this would-be assassin. Congressman Self is an incredible leader and mentor, and his work on the Sharia-Free America Caucus has been invaluable. Radical Islamic terrorism is a real and present danger. We must confront it.
I am grateful to the FBI and law enforcement for stopping this threat. My family and I are safe, and I remain focused on serving the people of Texas’ 3rd District. Preserving our constitutional republic from radical Islam means accepting the costs that come with it—name-calling, threats, and worse. Our Founders believed this country was worth the sacrifice. I served 25 years in the military because defending freedom was worth the sacrifice. This only strengthens my resolve. I will not back down. wfaa.com/article/news/crime/…
