Wisconsin's state tree is the sugar maple. Schoolchildren picked it in a statewide vote back in 1893, and it became official in 1949. It's also the tree behind those golden and orange colors every fall.

A meditation on government-run healthcare, from Canadian refugees
This Canadian woman was given MAID as her only choice for stage 4 cancer in Deathcare Canada. She went to the US and death was not the option the doctors there gave her.
Canadian healthcare used to be good, it is now in desperate fear of collapse. They're bringing in doctors who did not study in Canada and whatever else that entails.
I find the healthcare in the US unquestionably superior. Health insurance is the same since I don't pay income tax in Florida, I pay it on insurance. There is immediate, private healthcare if you need it.
Medically assisted suicide is not an option they offer.

The Iranian regime has never acted on good faith. It’s always the same play: stall, buy time, realign.
We should not release assets or give sanctions relief until we have full access to and control of their nuclear material.

Remembering Sergeant First Class Paul Ray Smith 🇺🇸
SFC Paul Ray Smith grew up in Tampa, FL, joining the United States Army at 18 with the heart of a leader. He spent 14 years doing exactly that, deploying to Saudi Arabia, Bosnia, and Kosovo before the invasion of Iraq.
He was a combat engineer with the 3rd Infantry Division. A husband and a father.
On April 4, 2003, near Baghdad International Airport, his unit was attacked by over 100 Iraqi soldiers. Smith organized a defense, climbed atop a damaged M113 armored personnel carrier and manned its .50 caliber machine gun. He was fully exposed to enemy fire, but held the line until his last breath.
His heroism and sacrifice on that day saved the lives of over 100 of his fellow soldiers. He was just 33 years old and the first Medal of Honor recipient of the Global War on Terror. 🇺🇸
