Freshman are gonna freshman. Everyone was raving about Jojo and Rippey.
Then Duke went on the road and those two guys had almost nonexistent games.
Meanwhile, the junior Ngongba and senior Blackwell just played winning basketball and had all the big plays down the stretch.
When I reported this, everyone said “Caleb Foster will miss the entire preseason.” I said, “actually, he might be back for Kansas.”
Well, today we find out if I was right.
Here’s a hint… I was right.
Good column and some smart rationale here from Tommy Lloyd.
COLUMN: Why is the NCAA fighting these so-called five-for-five cases all over the country in ways that will absolutely create an uneven playing field this season?
Arizona's Tommy Lloyd has an interesting theory.

There's enough humor and strong performances to lift Wicker up when it occasionally lags. This film is surprising and has some interesting messages... plus the horniest willows, reeds, and rattan you have ever seen.
Here is my 100-word review: flixchat.blogspot.com/2026/1…
This is smart analysis and makes perfect sense.
Bookmark this for games where Cameron Williams barely plays for Duke this year and folks are losing their minds saying Scheyer is tanking his draft stock.
Cameron Williams played an underwhelming 18 minutes for Duke last night, which wasn’t a total surprise.
So why do I still have him mocked as a potential first-rounder? cbssports.com/nba/news/2027-…
Unbiased college basketball watchers — not Duke homers — already saying this Blue Devil team is gonna cut down the nets in April.
Great article here from @MattNorlander and @Isaac__Trotter about NIL spending in college basketball.
I have spoken for a while about the "Duke discount" on the DBR Podcast and now the national media seems to be picking up on it as a thing.

A deep dive with @MattNorlander into how much each high-major basketball roster costs. It ranges from $5 million to over $25 million.
The top dawgs: Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan, UNC, St. John's, Tennessee, Texas and Texas Tech

By most accounts this was an "off game" by Jojo.
Dear lord...
And he is going to be in Durham for 2 years before going #1 in the 2028 NBA Draft.
Dear lord (again)...
Nature is a boss!!
This is such a cool video.

So, TKR violates both 1 (he was in the NBA draft) and 2 (he was rostered in the NBA summer league)…
But the Big 12 probably won’t do (bleep) about it because they don’t want to mess with big, bad Kansas basketball.
Me at the 90 minute mark in You Can See Everything: “pretty great but how are they going to keep this going?”
Me at the 3 hour mark:
Some things that work in a book don't work on the screen. Here is my 100-word review of the very gross and yet kinda dull Whalefall:

IT'S HAPPENING! Reese's is dropping a 52oz *pie* that is a GINORMOUS Peanut Butter Cup!
This was sold online five years ago and went instantly from @reeses and is FINALLY getting a true release in stores.
So far it has been spotted at BJ's Wholesale Club and is an absolutely need!
It is $39.99 for those wondering and is gonna be better than ANY pie you might bring for Thanksgiving.
Would you grab a Reese's Pie for the holidays?!

5⭐️ Asa Montgomery has cancelled his upcoming official visits to Arizona and Louisville, sources told @Rivals.

Never seen a Metacritic score like this. Getting 100% on Rotten Tomatoes is one thing... but Metacritic uses a more nuanced way of generating scores.
99?!?!!
As I said a few days ago after seeing it, You Can See Everything will be the first doc ever nominated for Best Picture.
