I went back and checked Global M2 Money Supply growth since 2008-2009 to this week. From below $30 trillion to $103 trillion in under 20 years But there's people on financial YouTube with large views claiming that there is no evidence of any inflation whatsoever?

And yet the paper price of gold is down from $5500 to $4k in 2026 while Chinese entities have gotten nearly 40% of annual gold mine supply. 1k tons imported in Hong Kong and mainland China versus 2600 tons mined. Plus, enormous profits shorting before they take delivery of metal...
BREAKING NEWS ONE POPULAR CONTRACT ON THE SHANGHAI GOLD EXCHANGE, SAW VOLUMES JUMP TO 43 MILLION LOTS LAST WEEK, OR AROUND 430 TONS, THE HIGHEST LEVEL SINCE APRIL. China is still stockpiling.

Correct. The best analogy for the frontier model AI companies is a hamster wheel that they cannot get off of without a moat and protected profit margins. Open source AI software catches up pretty quickly
The reason frontier LLMs will never be profitable is because the minute they stop spending, the free models catch up. You're in a constant loop of increased spending to stay ahead, while everyone behind you catches up at a fraction of the cost by using your model. LLMs are just commodity with no moat.

Soft Bank is also heavily involved
A quick reminder of the beauty of circular financing.... I doubt there has ever been this level of dependence in the US market, as we're seeing among the AI companies today. Bloomberg does a great job with this chart.

Binance perpetual futures contracts are smashing the paper price down so the PBOC and private Chinese investors can get more metal for cheaper prices in my opinion. Chinese HFs are also making money shorting paper gold and paper silver as well as shorting large cap tech stocks

Taking all the assets from billionaires wouldn't even run all levels of government in the US for 12 months. Annual Spending from DC is now over $7 trillion including state and local gvmnt spending. The biggest problem is both parties keep increasing spending, waste & fraud/theft
If we took all of Elon's money to pay off the national debt, we'd still be 39 trillion dollars in debt. Maybe we have a politician problem, not a billionaire problem.

Cantillon Effect to juice asset prices for decades. The Federal Reserve Bank higher ups labeled this the Wealth Effect and currency debasement and dramatic loss of purchasing power
I'm in my 40s. I'm a lawyer. My wife is a lawyer. We both work full time. We cannot afford the house my parents purchased on a single electrician's income in their 30s. We cannot afford the house my immigrant grandparents purchased on a single MTA bus driver's salary in their 30s. They had SIX CHILDREN. For 30 years, politicians in Washington & their oligarch allies convinced regular people that this was just about avocado toast and fancy coffee. In reality, this is end-stage capitalism. Everyone is stuck in place. It's impossible to buy a home. It's too costly to move. We work too much to have passion projects. We don't have enough savings to start our own businesses. We can't afford to go without healthcare to do it. Thanks for writing this article @troy_closson. Would be very happy to discuss further. nytimes.com/2026/10/25/nyreg…

I was literally talking about Bernie Sanders and DNC politicians like AOC being champagne socialist hypocrites a decade ago and was being harassed daily by trolls that there was no proof whatsoever of this. She spends 6 figures per year on private jet flights too...

Older GPUs like Hopper or Grace Blackwell will wear down eventually after a few yrs of daily usage 24/7/365 or the chips sit in a warehouse & become obsolete after a few yrs. Lots of chips sitting in a warehouse because the data center construction projects are often delayed
GPUs are aging like fine wine, with rental rates up across the board since January 1st Approximate change YTD: - H200: +160% - B200: +120% - RTX PRO 6000: +65% - H100: +35% Even the 6-year-old A100 rents for more than it did at the start of the year Charts of the Week: a16z.news/p/charts-of-the-we…

Lula and his rich and powerful champagne socialist hypocrite friends were grifting billions of Dollars from the Rio DE Janiero Olympics and Petrobras scandals and basically no one went to prison for the white collar crimes, embezzlement, theft and corruption.

Most are DNC politicians actually
Why is it that the AI safety cults out there who claim we're all going to die have zero cybersecurity experience to back up their doomerism?

One of the major reasons why so many young adults are hardcore brainwashed. Lots of false information on Tik Tok and Instagram for many years. Tik Tok used to be all hardcore brainwashing & CCP Spyware
France's student protests weren't quite what they looked like. A Shanghai-based billionaire's network helped shape the story the world saw. A Fox News Digital investigation identified roughly 50 organizations tied to the unrest. Only 15 were student or youth groups. The other 35 included labor unions, communist and socialist parties, civil rights groups, and one Palestinian advocacy organization. The report calls this a "red-green" alliance. The protests began over real problems. Overcrowded classrooms, teacher shortages, and crumbling school buildings. Hundreds of thousands marched. Schools were blockaded. More than 6,000 people were arrested, mostly minors. Those facts are not in dispute. What was harder to see was the international amplification. BreakThrough News, a New York-based pro-communist outlet, pushed "BREAKING" alerts framing the events as a historic global youth uprising. That outlet is funded through the network of Neville Roy Singham, the American-born billionaire based in Shanghai who has directed hundreds of millions into far-left media and activist groups in the United States. His network is under federal investigation into its financial flows. No one claims Singham paid French students to protest. The investigation found amplification, not direct funding. The same media playbook used in American protests for years, applied to a French story that started with genuine grievances.
