Never in my life have I so thoroughly sided with Europe in a disagreement with the United States. They are right and America is in the wrong here. The White House is behaving dishonorably, and the legislators who know it but do nothing are cowards.

My father takes hemp with less than 0.3% THC. It doesn’t get him high. It allows him to move without having to take opioids for a back injury. The hemp he and many others take allows him to be pain-free. A full ban is dangerous and will hurt people.

Trump has officially severed all ties from Ronald Reagan’s foreign policy philosophy with his decision to traffic in Russian disinformation. Imagine if Reagan had apologized to Gorbachev for making the Soviets erect the Berlin Wall. For Americans of a certain age, it’s so odd for an American president to display such fear of Russian leader.

The idea that a small group of Republicans has joined all Democrats to elect the Speaker for 15 years or whatever is apocryphal. Take 2011 as just 1 example. There was a vote in the GOP caucus. Straus won overwhelmingly. Then those who voted against the caucus-endorsed candidate on the floor were treated as heroes by the so-called grassroots who demanded a caucus vote in the first place. #txlege
