BREAKING: Brazil’s electoral court president, Kassio Nunes Marques, says there was no rule authorizing the two-hour voting extension.
“Never, in the history of the TSE, has there been ANY extension.”
Update:
Dacis is out of Parliament as Milosevic's party SPS doesn't clear the 3% threshold and wins 0 seats in Serbia's Parliament.
The judge ruled after 5:00pm. Votes continued to be counted even before decision came down. The question should be why were any polling locations still allowing voting after 5:00pm when they should have been closed? The 🇧🇷 judiciary is corrupt & now they’ll target the opposition.

This is Novi Sad, the site of the horrific awning collapse that killed 16 people, sparking the massive student-led protests that led to Vučić's demise two years later.
Seeing the entire place bounce like this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime thing.

Celebrations in Banja Luka too, the largest city in Bosnia’s RS entity, with crowd chanting “Mile [Dodik], you are next!” Alas, a fractured opposition delivered Dodik’s SNSD another mandate even after 20+ years at the entity’s helm only weeks ago at the Bosnian elections.

The election results in Serbia are good news for the security and stability of the entire Western Balkans, as Vucic was the chief architect of virtually all major disputes in the region.
That said, the Student List is a heterodox coalition. We should not expect a 180 degree transformation in Belgrade's positions on Kosovo, Bosnia, or Montenegro. The (ultra)nationalist right will remain a major factor in the country's politics. And presidential elections are scheduled for December. As such, a (significant) degree of wariness in regional capitals is also not without merit.
Still, this is an opening, and politics - especially in the Balkans - is a game of inches. Decades of animosity aside, neighboring states should give the new government the opportunity to prove and constitute itself. Accept now that the official rhetoric will be over the map ideologically, especially at first. Real progress may need to be quiet, and unglamorous.
The Serbian people have made a major decision. The entire region would benefit from a democratic, moderate Serbia. This may - or not - be its genesis. Let us at least give the citizens of Serbia a chance to finish what they have started tonight.

Venezuelans spontaneously going out on the streets to meet @MariaCorinaYA.
She represents a legitimate leadership. The faster there are elections and institutional reforms , the faster Venezuelans will prosper.

The dictatorship in Venezuela did not end with the capture of Nicholas Maduro.
Maria Corina Machado’s re-entry into Venezuela is a step towards democracy.

Americans send heartfelt congratulations to the people of Serbia on a hard-fought election campaign and especially to the Students who showed historic determination and patriotism in their mission to restore the rule of law in their country. Now, the hard work begins. I look forward to a renewed relationship between Serbia and the United States! God bless Serbia.

Rumors about the death of the Georgian protest are greatly exaggerated- and in the face of repression of unheard proportions and looming ban of opposition, this protest is remarkable.

Vučić has conceded defeat to Serbia’s student-led protest movement in the parliamentary elections 🇷🇸
I’m so happy for Serbians! Your courage and determination have long been an inspiration to all of us.
So well deserved. Just wow! 👏

Vucic concedes defeat. The true scale of the Student List victory remains to be seen — but this a political earthquake for the Western Balkans.
Sincere congratulations to the citizens of Serbia who held out hope against hope and mobilized in extraordinary numbers.

This is concerning: dozens of men in black hoodies said to be SNS supporters are gathering in downtown Belgrade after riot police were deployed in the same area earlier today.
The Student List has asked its supporters to avoid confrontation and stay safe.

The EU is a joke. Nobody cares that Brussels is “deeply concerned” while an authoritarian regime faces no consequences.
Vučić is undermining democracy, Russian intelligence is helping him preserve his regime, and the EU hides behind calls for “all parties” to behave responsibly. Where are your values? Your red lines? Your courage? Don’t humiliate students who are risking their lives tonight!
Instead of empty statements:
1. Prepare sanctions against those responsible for undermining free and fair elections.
2. Where are your Hybrid Rapid Response Teams to counter interference and defend democratic processes?
You’re waiting for the results at 8pm. What will you do at 9pm? If my
sources are warning that Vučić is preparing chaos tonight, imagine what serious intelligence services already know. What exactly is Brussels waiting for? Why don’t you declassify and expose this?
If Brussels can’t stand up to Vučić, how will it ever stand up to Putin?
We are deeply concerned about reported violent incidents across a number of polling stations.
Serbian citizens need to be able to exercise their democratic right to vote in a peaceful and safe environment.
We call on all actors to remain calm, to act responsibly and refrain from violence and provocations and on the competent institutions to ensure safety of all involved in the electoral process.
