The dog in the first photo almost didn't get this life.❤️
Not long ago, Thor found himself in a high-kill shelter through no fault of his own. The Jason Heigl Foundation stepped in, determined to give this wonderful dog the second chance he deserved.
Thor is everything people love about rescue dogs: gentle, affectionate, resilient, and endlessly loving. Today, he's living the life every dog should have. Beach days with his adopter, good food, a warm home, and the security of knowing he is loved and exactly where he belongs.
Every rescue has a story. Thor's story has the ending we all hope for.
Welcome home, Thor. 🏖️🐾❤️

At the Jason Heigl Foundation we're dedicated to ending the needless suffering of animals caused by cruelty, indifference, and ignorance.
When concerns arose about Dogtown Ranch in Texas, we were deeply worried.
Baby Reina, a senior dog who fought hard to survive, became a voice for all the animals and is now out of the hospital and recovering with BVSPCA. Our gratitude to BVSPCA for helping all of these dogs is immeasurable.
JHF applauds and supports BVSPCA, and we hope you will too. In animal welfare, the best outcomes for animals come when we stand together. If you're able, please donate to BVSPCA's lifesaving work for these dogs: bvspca.org/DogtownRanchJHF
My name is Onyx. I arrived at Rancho from the San Bernardino Shelter in CA at only 3 weeks old. Angel nursed me with bottles, blankets & love. Now I'm 4 months old, and very fond of my adopter. I want to thank the Foundation for taking care of my medical bills. I'm a lucky puppy!
We love hearing from our adopters, and this update about Tony absolutely melted our hearts! This sweet, gentle boy was rescued by the Jason Heigl Foundation, and now he’s living his best life with his amazing mom, Kourt Henson...

...rescue is all about. Thank you, Kourt, for giving him the love and security he deserves!
