In the @splashsports World Championship, the Jets loss evened the field a bit and brought the biggest portfolios toward the pack. Here were Week 7 Jets usage by portfolio size at start of week:

In #CircaSurvivor Baltimore's availability is going to drop from 58.2% to 45.5% (if Dallas wins) even though Baltimore was not picked in the contest and did not win this week. Those that picked Baltimore in Week 4 advanced at a much higher rate in Week 7 than those that picked Minnesota in Week 4 (since the Vikings were also the most common advancing pick this week), reducing Baltimore's availability by a substantial margin, which should in turn increase their future value.

With the Circa Survivor contest down to 660 entries heading into tonight, we are now projecting a 32% chance it ends before Week 18 for first time ever, and a 26% chance of a solo winner (also never happened).

How does this happen? Organizational failures on a massive scale here.
How committed is Jalen Hurts to football? After initially being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in London, doctors told him not to sleep as a precaution, so he had been awake for roughly 36 hours when he started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD.

That isn't even the first Matthew Stafford 18-16 game. It's the 3rd one he's been a part of. This one. 18-16 win for Detroit over Green Bay in 2015. 18-16 loss for Detroit to Baltimore in 2013. (The Justin Tucker 61-yard game winner kick.)

The Commanders are now responsible for two of the biggest “Wait, I’m Alive! … NOPE” rug pulls in survivor history between this and the 2024 game against the Cowboys with the 86-yard bomb to McLaurin followed by the missed XP.

Across all contests I am in where I can see pick rates on Dallas, the 38% in the World Championship was THE LOWEST of any pool. Median was 45% and several went over 50%, including those with higher concentrations of single entries.

Add it all up, and I had 36% as my pre-kickoff projection for Dallas in Circa, but I would lean over, despite the strategic considerations, because I think the single entries likely broke heavy Dallas over 50%. Also some "all in" players with Dallas who liikely shoved.

The Dallas loss had the biggest impact on single entries remaining, with over 55% breaking to Dallas in the Splash Survivor World Championship. Plus, a subset of the largest portfolios that went heavy Dallas and paid the price.

Circa actually has a higher "single bullet left" concentration that Splash. About 29% of all entries going into Week 5 were the final for a contestant, compared to 16% in Splash. And just as with Tampa in Week 2, we see the single entries breaking heavily for Dallas.

2) Circa's holiday pick week, and Dallas at home on Thanksgiving, should theoretically cause more to save them for that week because of contest dynamics, not present in Splash, and spread ownership out. But

Let's talk about how this might relate to #circasurvivor numbers on Dallas, which we don't know yet. 1) Splash has generally run about 7-8% lower than Circa on the most popular picks so far (pointing to Dallas up) But
