Neutrality with dignity!
National Party members were active in Waterford City over the weekend, distributing leaflets and engaging with the public on the future of Irish neutrality, following the recent Dáil vote on the Triple Lock mechanism. Members discussed the importance of safeguarding Ireland’s military neutrality and keeping the Irish people out of foreign wars.

The Triple Lock copper fastened Irish neutrality at the expense of our military sovereignty. Granting veto power over Irish overseas military deployments to the British does not suddenly become more acceptable just because the same veto was granted to multiple other major world powers.
Its removal, however necessary for the reclamation of Irish sovereignty, is not being implemented by a government with that aim in mind. It is being forced through by a servile political class intent on transferring our lost sovereignty to new owners while simultaneously surrendering our neutrality.
A false binary is sometimes offered, claiming that in order to have neutrality we must give up full military sovereignty, or vice versa.
Our political leadership in Dáil Éireann are now intent on us having neither.

The government pledging another €3bn for social housing while steadfastly refusing to make even paper Irish citizenship a requirement is the definition of throwing good money after bad.
The housing crisis was created by government and will only worsen with decisions like this.

Members of the Kerry Cumann completed a hike in West Kerry recently. The hike encompassed Cruach Mharthain & the remnants of the Ryan's Daughter filmset.
Another noteworthy feature was the plaque dedicated to Seán Ó Caomhánaigh. At the foundation of the Irish free state, he was tasked with collecting phrases from across the Kerry Gaeltacht.
A very enjoyable hike and fruitful networking opportunity.
