I asked grok to run a similar data set for the "blue states". Here's what it said...
Deepest-blue states (Massachusetts, Maryland) saw almost no net movement from 2022 to 2026.
Connecticut, New York, Illinois, and California all showed clear Democratic gains of roughly 3.5–6.7 points, with matching Republican drops.
New York had the largest Democratic gain (+6.7) and Republican drop (−6.5) in this group over the four-year span.
