Most AI announcements are about keeping current customers. Google's new stack is prescriptive enough to challenge Microsoft and modular enough to go after AWS. Get @JasonTAndersen's full take on Google's new strategy coming out of @GoogleCloud Next 2026.

You're building AI agents without a system. That's why they keep failing.
Here’s the right system to go from idea → working agent
1. Define the job
What problem are you solving?
Who’s the user? What does success look like?
2. Design the brain
Clear system prompt, role, instructions, guardrails
(This is where most agents fail)
3. Pick the right model
Speed vs cost vs intelligence
Don’t overpay for simple tasks
4. Add tools
APIs, databases, MCP servers, custom functions
Agents become powerful when they can act, not just answer
5. Give it memory
Short-term + long-term context
So it learns, adapts, and improves over time
6. Orchestrate everything
Workflows, triggers, retries, agent-to-agent communication
7. Build the interface
Chat, app, API, Slack bot
Make it usable, not just functional
8. Test + improve
Evals, latency checks, real-world feedback
Iteration is the real moat

The AI agent wars are heating up! @JasonTAndersen, VP & Principal Analyst at @MoorInsStrat, shares his take on two major drops: @SAP is getting specific with unique role-based agents (think HR peer-to-peer routing for onboarding and benefits!), while @Google just made a provocative play against Microsoft by launching the Gemini Enterprise platform and a new third-party agent marketplace. ServiceNow will acquire @moveworks for $2.85 billion.
It's the biggest acquisition in @ServiceNow history, but Bill McDermott calls it a "tuck-in" acquisition. Here's why:
- ServiceNow's plan to integrate Moveworks' AI assistant and enterprise search technology into its platform
- 500 AI leaders from Moveworks are staying with ServiceNow on long-term retention agreements. (That's a lot of AI development expertise)
Some other key points:
- With the Moveworks integration, ServiceNow aims to provide employees with a unified, "consumer-grade" agentic AI experience across complex enterprises. ServiceNow already owns enterprises' middle and back offices, and Moveworks' AI assistant will serve as the front end to achieve mass scale.
- The companies' overlapping customer base should allow for a smoother integration of Moveworks' technology into ServiceNow's existing operations. Moveworks' customers have high adoption rates -- 90% of its customers have deployed the technology to 100% of their employees.
My take:
ServiceNow is shifting how companies will look at organizational structure. The end-to-end search and self-service extraction layer could bridge traditional departmental silos. The AI agents should allow employees to access information and automate tasks across different workflows from a single entry point. This is more than a time saver/productivity issue. This could minimize organizational risk (consistent data, policies, and governance).
The current macroeconomic uncertainty could be in ServiceNow's favor. ServiceNow's focus on using technology as a deflationary force to drive business efficiency places it well in a market where companies are looking to do more with less. This strategic positioning could attract more customers seeking to optimize their operations during economic uncertainty. (There's a balance of sensitivity and reality that has to be struck here).
ServiceNow's acquisition of Moveworks should significantly expand its capabilities in AI-driven automation and efficiency for enterprise customers. It's a good move for ServiceNow's role in the enterprise AI market and its future growth trajectory.
We'll continue to watch and weigh in on this one at @MoorInsStrat.
