Just arrived on the Gold Coast for NeuroExchange 2025, hosted by @Medtronic. A unique meeting for ANZ neurointerventionists young and old to share our difficult experiences, network, and learn.

@British_Airways the saga continues. 5 days since they lied and said the bags would be on the flight, I finally managed to find one, without ANY assistance, and plenty of obstruction and lies from BA, in a store room at Zakynthos airport, having taken a day out of my already…

@British_Airways still hasn’t contacted me about luggage, but the hotel has found out it will arrive on the second last night of the holiday. Great. When I called to ask if it could just be sent from Heathrow to the next hotel in London, the guy at the call centre in India told..

@British_Airways usual rubbish service. And now extortion. Supposed to fly CDG-LHR-ZTH on Sunday. Need to be wifi connected and not airborne, and BA wants to charge me £100 to just join the LHR-ZTH flight off Eurostar, and if I just turn up at LHR they will cancel my LHR-ZTH leg

Sincere condolences to such a situation - nobody should feel at war when going to work. Unfortunately vertical hierarchical systems still make this a “normal situation”. In hospitals we live in a bubble of enclosed dictatorship within a democratic system.
Some may be aware that I had to fight a difficult political and personal battle for much of the last year to hold onto my position at the hospital where I started a Neurointerventional service which is now regarded as one of the pre-eminent services in Australia….
After an extremely distressing and traumatic 8 months, I managed to hold on to my job. During this time, many of you provided immense professional and personal support, and I can never thank you enough for your time and your friendship. I hope now…
Getting a little tired of @Siemens lack of action/solutions over measurement discrepancies on its DSA systems. At least 30% error on 2D and 3D. Only a matter of time before it results in a major complication. Anyone else have this issue?
What a pleasure to host the POW and Liverpool teams for a little Christmas shindig. Thanks for all your help and support over the past few testing months and years. 🎅 🎄
Has anyone had any experience staging a stent/coil procedure with EVO? Had a case this week with a precarious placement 6 weeks ago. Left it to heal in a bit before placing the second limb of the Y…almost impossible to get through the struts. Normally no problem if same day.

@MorganTurinui @timbo_phillips @HywelEvans7 I’m baffled by the yellow vs red ruling in #SCOvAUS. Apart from there being no law about mitigation of head contact based on body part, if that WAS “bicep” contact by Young to McDermott’s head, it was the origin of the long head from
Case of the month. For me anyway. WFNS 2 SAH in a 40yo F research scientist. EVD placed pre DSA. Considered BA-bilateral P1 Y-stent/coil but P1 access formidable on both sides. Thus decided get one stent from left P1 to BA, then “reverse-Y” from BA to right PCom then coil.
“Round the world” access to left P1 with HW17; EVO 3.5x32mm placed. HW Duo right PCom to BA; EVO 2.5x22mm placed. Uneventful coiling.

Interested in international opinions here as well. How much are we actually all doing and how much should we be doing?
Hard to unsee this after a week in Paris seeing interesting aneurysms at #LINNC and magnificent art everywhere.
