A tip of the hat to Max for being the kind of person that gives back and makes a difference. He represents himself, our team, and AU in all the right ways. Great job! #AmericanMade

The new 5 for 5 rule could have a major impact on collegiate wrestling tournaments. I’d guess many will move away from the true “open” format to help RPI and D1 win %. We will likely see far fewer high schoolers compete against college guys moving forward.
Does anyone know the criteria used to select the field for the @NDIWrestling event?
Serious question. How was the field determined? Quite a few head scratchers, that’s for sure.

🚨BREAKING 🚨
Dominique Daniels Jr. speaks on the recent handling of @calbaptist ’s recent decision to cut 3 mens sports.
The WAC Player of the Year, WAC Tournament MVP, 3x All-WAC selection, and the captain who led CBU to its first-ever NCAA Tournament stands with his fellow Lancers who are impacted by the decision to cut 3 men’s programs. He’s making it clear: what happened to these student-athletes wasn’t right.
This is a leader who’s earned everything. 11x WAC Player of the Week, multiple All-District honors, and one of the most decorated players in program history, standing up for athletes who love their sport just as much as he loves his.
That says everything.
You don’t build a championship culture by cutting programs. You build it by investing in the athletes who represent your university with pride.
This is bigger than wrestling. It’s about leadership, accountability, and doing right by your own.

One hour.
That’s all @calbaptist and @DrMicahParker gave its wrestlers to grab their belongings before locking them out.
No transition. No alternatives. No answers.
Now they’re laying down mats at the park just to keep their dreams alive.
We’re not backing down.
