Jon Cooper on Lafrenière: “There’s a reason he’s still playing here. … We’re (eight) games in, (and) he’s basically at a goal-a-game pace. Probably what people thought he was going to be like in his career; it just took him maybe a little bit longer.”

Indiana kinda put a bullet in the strength of schedule argument by winning the natty last year in an undefeated season no? They beat bama and Oregon by a combined score 94-25 they can play whoever the hell they want. It doesn't seem to matter.

“I accept full responsibility for lapses in judgment by people within my inner circle” is a line for the ages
Kawhi Leonard, through his new agent, Harrison Gaines, issues statement:
“Integrity and respect for this game are fundamental to who I am. I accept full responsibility for lapses in judgment by people within my inner circle and regret the distraction this situation has caused the fans and my family.
I entered into my contract with the Clippers as well as the agreements in question in good faith, fully committed to fulfilling my obligations and with no knowledge of any intent on anyone's part to circumvent the salary cap.
For 15 years, my priority has been giving everything to my family, the game, and those I share the court with. As I return to Toronto, I am focused on what I can control, closing this chapter, and moving forward with a clean slate."
You can't bet on the Heisman winner in New York? I may have to take a trip just to get a Hoover ticket.
I've been a Newcastle fan for about a month and am stunned that fans get excited about the "financial benefit" of selling rising stars. The club doesn't use that $ on players so why care that the owner got a nice return?? In American sports, that's called letting a player walk.

Sources: Indiana star defensive lineman Stephen Daley will return to the Hoosiers for his fifth year. He led Indiana in TFLs last year with 19.0 and also added 5.5 sacks, and his addition looms as a significant boost to a talented and deep Indiana defensive front group.

Cignetti is "stalking complacency" among the team and staff. He's geared up for another run.
Curt Cignetti isn't reflecting on Indiana's historic season.
"It's time to turn the page, which I don't have a problem doing."
Cignetti touched on IU's mind-set, QB Josh Hoover's arrival, and whether IU has everyone's respect.
"Most people, not all."

Why do MLB scouts need to go see Tarik Skubal pitch, or any player for that matter? In a game of mass sample sizes wtf does a weekend in person do?

We have waived QB Diego Pavia.

Damn Elliot Anderson is the British Brad Marchand, guy is throwing slew legs, flopping, dirty plays on the ground. Keep it up, great entertainment.
I am officially a Newcastle fan. For no real reason, just picked one after some World Cup/FIFA games.
And almost immediately, it appears their best player is dipping lmao
